I don't think powerful entities facilitate sharing power. Facts seem to indicate there can only be one "big dog". The world has had a large number of superpowers. Power has moved in a westward direction. Different social and economic conditions and outside forces weaken powerful nations. Necessity is the mother of invention. Maybe powerful countries take their position as a natural situation and lose sight of the things their county did that made them powerful. Natural resources, hard work, and inventive actions made U.S. a strong country. More and more financial opportunism determine which directions decisions will go. I do not think the public is always made aware of this, but it is undoubtedly happening.
