This video is the reason I will never take my Pcar to wolf pen. If they're so worried about porsche owners getting scammed that they make a long video telling 221k people about it, they should have the balls to publicly state who the shop is that created the problems. By not telling us that pertinent and highly relevant bit of info, wolfpen comes off as the bad shop... trolling for views and new customers. It worked! Many folks around atlanta are recommending this brand new shop. Mission accomplished.

Just bought one, and yes, needs suspension tweaking. Will be fitting the same 3-way nitrons with stiffer springs that I had on my GT4. Transformed the handling.and won me the championship this year!

Quit using an adapter, or atleast buy a 2 piece that has a hardened 1/2 chuck that is more difficult to break. Amazon sells a 3/4 drive 3/4 that you need

Air hammer luggage nut to compress ball seat a little and shock the threads. If you have access to a 1/2 milwaukee 1500ftlbs with a forged battery to take it to 1600ftlbs, you will get them off.

Dam this hits hard. I have been an automotive mechanic for at least 10 years. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth whenever i hear about some other shop making dumb, and scummy business practices.
@mattsch6646Ай бұрын
That’s your problem is ur using a snap on snap one impacts are garbage an air at or an ingersoll rand will either snap it off or it’s coming off plain and simple
@FawnyboiАй бұрын
Omfg, dude, so my project is a used car, and the previous owner was just terrible. I can't fucking stand it every time I go to do a simple one hour job I end up finding stripped screws and over torqued bolts. I understand the utility of impact wrenches, but good lord, you do not need them for everything it takes 10 seconds to tighten things to its correct spec, it takes days to loosen an over tightened bolt :/
@wolfpen_mediaАй бұрын
Very true. With many DIY jobs performed by less than experienced shade tree mechanics, it could be a matter of people thinking more is MORE and just hitting every nut and bolt with the maximum settings without fully comprehending the trouble (or damage) it's causing downstream.
@christian-zf3diАй бұрын
That’s a real shame, I think over torqued lug nuts and studs are becoming an epidemic. But hopefully it’ll solve itself once more and more people inevitably discover a few ugga duggas from the impact is enough to cause some pretty serious problems
@wolfpen_mediaАй бұрын
You're absolutely correct. Usually, the culprit isn't necessarily carelessness as much as it is carelessness caused by auto techs being rushed to turn cars at a rate that borders on irresponsible. It's much better to cultivate an atmosphere of care and integrity because lifelong customers are FAR more valuable than a quick flip that results in a dissatisfied customer.
@jeffhill3681Ай бұрын
Tire guys are the common culprit, air guns are adjustable, max power (1500ft/lbs) in forward is not required!!! Turn it down!!

Now, that filter was pointless. Good idea, maybe you could punch a hole then use a vacuum to suck it out from the top to prevent any debris getting into the engine

I doubt that would be the case. If it was than when the car was full of oil and circulating than all of the junk would be flowing into the engine. It’s called a filter for a reason. Just big enough for the oil to go through and not the junk.

That's true, but that's a much more limited car, both in numbers and in usage. It likely would not have survived for very long on the mountain rally we went on last month due to its statue, whereas there were quite a few Porsche 911 GT3 RS models of various generations that blasted through the mountain roads without issue.

Look at the weight difference from them to now, well that and how far the cars are. They aren't that small for a 2200 pound car that will only top out at 130mph or so. That and it takes 5 minutes to get to that speed. 0-60 is like 12 seconds so they have a decent amount of time to cool as well.

@RidinDirtyRollinBurnouts2 ай бұрын
@wolfpen_media yes.....? You showed us front rotor diameter, was curious about rear rotor. Usually they are smaller on these cars, id wager theyre at least the same diameter as the front. a jetta weighs more than these cars and the brakes are a similar size in the front as this video. Sorry i thought you wouldve been able to critical think your way to a worthwhile response to my question since you work on cars
