“Who are the people in your neighborhood? They’re the people that you meet when you’re walking down the street. How do we figure out ways where we could meet more of these kind of people.” If you’re meeting people when you walk down the street and you wanna meet more people…keep on walking then. Brooo!!!!!

Super helpful, Mike. I love the weighted scale and prioritization. I’ve got about a dozen things on my plate and need to weed out about 5 of them, so I’ll use this to do it. Phoenix Club sounds so cool. At some point in the future we’d love to join, when we can free up some time and other commitments.

This was such an awesome show! Jen has such a great laugh. First of all, I legit have a video stashed away on a hard drive somewhere of 200 librarians drunkenly screaming out “Don’t Stop Believing” at the Cleveland Browns Stadium on the last night of Digipalooza 2011. That’s my mental Pop-Up Video of that song. 😂 Secondly, the Tulip Mania of the 1600s!! I about died when you said that, Mike. No one ever knows that but me. TOTALLY representative of Zoom and Charmin circa 2020. LOL I seriously enjoyed this, guys. Well done!

Awesome!! 👏 Perfect framework to launch the new year. I agree with so much in here, especially nature and sun. One of the things you must add to your bucket list is coming rustic camping with Gunner and me in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I guarantee you’ve never experienced anything like it. It’s freakin incredible!!

Once upon a time back at PQ, our team struggled with the “attainable” in our beginning-of-the-year SMART goals because we all set conservative, super achievable goals because they were safe and achievable. We had an awesome boss who tacked an “S” on the end of SMART(S) and made us all come up with a stretch goal as part of the goal setting. We had them hung up on our cubicles and stared at these every day. My eye always went to the stretch. That year, our inside sales team achieved 108% as a whole. Every one of us individually came in over 100%. Never underestimate the power of the unattainable! 😀

Very cool. You know, that last 2x2 you shared was the precise reason I quit my last job. I realized that so many things could not be improved, even though I needed them to win. You mentioned in one of your most recent videos the discussion around “Should I quit my job?” I’m realizing now that I sort of did this matrix in my head, and most of my work was in that bottom right quadrant. Which = spinning wheels with no results. Great video.

Super helpful with the non-work stuff! Thanks for this. While you were explaining I was making my own mental chart. Yikes. There was a lot there. My poor brain!! 🤯
@the_mrs Жыл бұрын
Love this one. The “Energizer Bunny” imitation made me literally laugh out loud. So did the “bless your heart” comment. 😂 But this was amazing. I appreciate the transparency. I had this very situation recently when I took on a commission-only sales job with a long sales cycle type of sale. It turned out to be too much of a time suck with not enough ROI. It was a fail on my part for simply taking it on when I should have known better. PS. In all honesty, wiping that white board clean gave me anxiety! Ha. Most of my clutter tends to be mental. That’s not so easy to eliminate. Great video, Mike. Big thanks.

Awesome that I can catch these on KZbin if I can’t make the live. Great video. Often for me the “fake it till you make it” mentality works to give me confidence. Especially when starting a new role. There’s always a bit of that imposter syndrome, right? Goal setting is another one. Even if goals are small or totally achievable, checking one of those off the list as a win does a lot for the mental game.
@catalyst_acts2 жыл бұрын
Thanks - definitely works, I think that self awareness piece of critical too. If you are faking it, and aware of it (highly self aware) you’ll be realistic about your confidence levels, and know the importance of putting in the work/learning.
