The first 30 seconds are so tight it's what made this. I read somewhere it was the 18th take...

Let me get this straight? Geddy was playing bass, playing keyboards, playing foot pedals, and singing at the same time?

i wonder who did the artwork on Paul's Rickenbacker?
@rbstems8 сағат бұрын
Paul (and possibly the other 3 Beatles) did a home-made paint job. " - We got together at George's place, had some beers, smoked a couple of joints, then came out the aerosols and that's it". Done at the same time as George's Rocky, John's J-160E and Ringo's "Love" bass drum head probably

With Ringo's hammond organ contribution, it almost sounds like they were going for a rush hour traffic effect.

We're so sorry, uncle Albert We're so sorry if we caused you any pain We're so sorry, uncle Albert But there's no one left at home And I believe I'm gonna rain We're so sorry, but we haven't heard a thing all day We're so sorry, uncle Albert But if anything should happen We'll be sure to give a ring We're so sorry, uncle Albert But we haven't done a bloody thing all day We're so sorry, uncle Albert But the kettle's on the boil And we're so easily called away Hands across the water, water Heads across the sky Hands across the water, water Heads across the sky Admiral Halsey notified me He had to have a berth or he couldn't get to sea I had another look and I had a cup of tea and butter pie Butter pie? The butter wouldn't melt so I put it in the pie Hands across the water, water Heads across the sky Hands across the water, water Heads across the sky Live a little, be a gypsy, get around (Get around) Get your feet up off the ground, live a little, get around Live a little, be a gypsy, get around (Get around) Get your feet up off the ground, live a little, get around Hands across the water, water Heads across the sky Hands across the water, water Heads across the sky

One thing that's always baffled me: in the very first second of the track, is that a chicken's cluck from the previous track, or a stray note from George's guitar?

@@rbstems What a weird coincidence, even for the Beatles.

I think I remember seeing George Martin say that it was unintentional and that it just worked when doing the final mix on the album, was a surprise for them too I think.
@vincentcupo90043 күн бұрын
The drums stopped prematurely with about 40 seconds to go in the fade. Why?
@rbstems3 күн бұрын
That's because the mix I used is the Rock Band mix which cuts the song. It's the best mix to use to get the best quality.
@buzzcrushtrendkill3 күн бұрын
So interesting to listen to. Too bad he was too buried in the final mix. I personally like to hear the later live versions of this song, Alex's guitar was much more sonically full.

A little sloppy as his usual solos, but I don’t care because he has written some of the most iconic solos in the history of metal🤘

@NoodlesEaton 2 minutes ago The electro theremin makes this song. Bonus question: what was the first pop sing to include flanging to create the effect of sitting in an airplane? p.s. This Good Vibrations did not use not a true theramin but an electro theramin.
