(Comment part 2) In the poorvangam, the first part Tha,Dhi,ThakitaThakadhina (11) comes once. Then is reduced by 2 as Dhi,ThakitaThakadhina (9) which comes twice and then reduced by 2 as ThakitaThakadhina (7) which comes thrice. The second part of the poorvangam has 4+3+2+1+0 which first has 4 karvais each, then it is reduced as 3+2+1+0 and comes with 3 karvais each, repeated twice and then reduced as 2+1+0 which comes with 2 karvais each and repeated thrice. In the uttharaangam, three 5s, three 9s (5+4) and three 13s (9+4) are used. The first two 5s have 1 karvai gap after them and the last 5 has no karvai, rather it has a 5 karvai gap (Thaam). Similarly for 9. Similarly for 13 but instead of the 5 karvaai thaam, it lands at samam.

So nice! I envy and appreciate all you talented musicians who can provide your own music for yourselves (in addition to others) spontaneously, in any lovely setting! In your case, both rhythms and vocals! I’ve learnt music (Veena) but in no way even remotely a musician 😅 but, at least I can appreciate and enjoy great music! Thank you for sharing. Please keep sharing your compositions and tunings. Btw, was there anything specific that made you choose Saveri in that particular location? I get whims to listen to certain ragas in certain locations. I think varali goes so well in a calm ocean setting! Also Thodi, Bhairavi, Hamsanandi, depending on the mood of the ocean that day 😊
