There should have been a final scene with Palpatine at the end of the series, this is how I see it going. {Palpatine after learning if what occurred on Weyland.} Palpatine: "Doctor Hemlock has failed me, I am....most displeased." Tarkin: "I warned you of the risks of such massive expansive project my Lord, the time of Cloning is over, Project Stardust should be our main focus". Palpatine: "Yes, there is nothing vital to the future of this Empire Moff Tarkin, whatever is needed to complete the project, you shall have it". Tarkin: " I shall spare no expense nor resource your majesty, however I suggest we promote Commander Krennic to Deputy Director of AWR and have him oversee the day-to-day operations of the project, if only to appease his ego and keep him productive". Palpatine: "Agreed, but never take your eyes off him OR the project, I will not have Stardust turning into the same type of failure as Hemlock's project". I think the empire would have been better without the sith I mean the emperor wanted power but when you look at the Star Wars galaxy it’s full of scum and theft without the empire things just fall apart and we can see with the newer shows the rebellion can’t govern a galaxy once the empire fell so did all order
