Oh wow I remember wearing a dupe of this color from a drugstore brand. The first time I wore it, a friend saw it and said that it made my hands look like her dead grandma's hands when they found her dead! 😱 I never wore it again!! I'm in my 40s now and have only just begun to wear lighter blues on my nails again lol. An exception I made was For Audrey by China Glaze, because it had just enough green in it to avoid that corpse hand effect I feared so much. Anyway, thanks high school frenemy for living rent free in my head for so long, I guess. 😂

I don’t know if you would be interested, but I treasure hunt and at my favorite spot I sometimes find pre 1950’s nail polish bottles with the polish still inside. I’d be happy to send them to you. They don’t have labels on them so maybe you can be a polish detective and tell us what color is contained inside. I see this style bottle and a few others I’ve seen on the channel.

I was born in the 50s and remember polish bottles with the swatch nail on them. They fascinated me as a child. My mom loved nail polish and I wonder what she wore in the 1940s as a young woman.

Beautiful colour. Nowadays it is hard to find dark shades of red without a pinkish hue. My skintone don't fit with pink or orange hues and it is a nightmare to find a nice dark lipstick.
