That sailboat can be fix with a little bit of fiberglass and bondo and will be looking Like new 😅😅😅😅

As a former fiberglass tech, I would have to agree with you. I could save this boat, if only the rudder, propeller and engine weren't ruined as well.

Those were the good old days. If you go back there now, don't rely on the crowd sourced data on the electronic charts. The last three storms, (Adelia, Helene, and Milton) have altered the areas Hydrography drastically. Big Sarasota pass is unnavigable as is Caxambas pass.

How many days take you from Galveston to New Orleans ?
@BlaQBeardFeralScoundrelАй бұрын
I just checked my log, it took me 12 days. I spent 2 days in Morgan City and 2 days in Houma, so I could have done it in 10. I'm taking it slow, because this is a long distance Marathon.

What about emergency water/rations?
@BlaQBeardFeralScoundrel2 ай бұрын
I can address that in a future episode. Right now I have 35 gallons of water and about 30 cans of soup. I've been at sea for 6 days though.

How shallow of water can your boat navigate?
@BlaQBeardFeralScoundrel2 ай бұрын
Yeah I'm hiding out near Avery Island. I'll sail across Vermillion Bay tomorrow.

3.5 draft, but it's all mud on the bottom, and I can usually plow through. Last night I anchored in the mud on purpose to keep my boat safe and to minimize rocking. I slept 12 hours.
