😂😂😂 I enjoy Josephine but some of those moves were crrrazy! I see people in Baltimore dancing like that sometimes. She definitely had some great foot and leg work!

There’s so much to love about her dancing. Personally I love her facial expressions the most, and I’m amazed she’s so beautiful even when she contorts her face! 😂 I’m so happy I have heard of her now but I wish I knew of her sooner.

She could really dance. But that’s where my ppl messed up. Keep yo gifts and talents among your own. I would not have made it in those time periods bc I’m not entertaining whites like dat. They love u when they cn make money off u.

Currently reading a book by author Damien Lewis ‘the flame of resistance’ about her wortime work with the French Deuxieme Bureaux and British SIS(MI6) during WW2 . What a story you really couldn’t make it up. C’mon Hollywood, someone take it on 👍🏻

I've just come to realize that Josephine Baker maybe invented every possible dance move, a body can ultimately express, without smashing your brains out and/or go life-long paraplegic afterwards, hands down.

Is it dancing? It resembles the convulsions of an epileptic patient. Bull$hit 👎
@Zoieisnothere Жыл бұрын
That’s the point! She didn’t care if she looked silly while dancing she still did what she loved no matter what! That’s the beauty of it :)
@edga7999 Жыл бұрын
@@Zoieisnothere People are stupid, they eat everything. A hundred years ago in America there was such a famous "singer" Florence Jenkins. 🤦♂️😄 A feature film was even made about her, where she was played by Meryl Streep. There are also recordings of her "wonderful" voice. 🤣 And people came to the concert. And you think it's okay? Some idiots named a crater on the planet Venus after Josephine. In honor of what? Who is she? Was she a great scientist, a brave rescuer, a valiant warrior? No! She just entertained people with her convulsions.
she was incredible, during her life she also campaigned against racism and was resistant during the second world war, in France

She was an extremely talented performer in all ways! She was also an extremely important spy for the allies in world war 2 - her fame and travel to entertain gave her cover to move around Europe and carry info...

Absolutely a great entertainer. But this has to be the worst soundtrack for her style of dancing that could possibly be. Her rhythm is completely different than the horrible sounds that I am hearing. I just muted the entire clip and found it far more entertaining. This was the era of the Charleston.
