like many America familys we have roots in Canada and Scotland.my grandfather served in the unit out of Toronto during WW1 that was gassed.he came home but still had the effects. i always felt that Canada in both wars fought "above its' weight" as they say. both my father and i served in our army when we were called.

Thank you for that. I’ve just looked her up. Her art is referred to as Primitive Art but there is nothing primitive there. I find her work for example, Catching the Turkey, to have a sophistication as great as a Rembrandt or a Lowery.. I will research her more extensively when I have the time.
