It’s not typical for Nintendo to wait this long, I’m disappointed in their laziness the last few years. We haven’t had any heavy hitting titles, when in their past they pump out a new Mario Kart, 3D Mario every couple of years & we’re nearing a decade since these have released. This the longest drought between consoles Nintendo has ever had. Even when they had dual handheld titles to deal with they still maxed their lifespans out at 6 years at the longest but typically 5. The rare exception being the Wii 2006-2012. But unlike those consoles the Switch doesn’t have a handheld counterpart either. I am willing to wait until 2025 for a hype next gen system but I’m fearing it might not be all it’s set out to be. On top of it, as far as quality & quantity goes Microsoft & Sony aren’t particularly flourishing at the moment. I’m just hoping Nintendo can pull through with us here but we never know
