I first remember reading about this Flash Gordon animated movie in 1977 in Starlog magazine. On the heels of Star Wars craze, I was so excited . It was supposed to have aired in 1979 but it never did. Instead they chopped it up and aired as Saturday morning cartoon. I believe it wasn't until 1982 it finally was shown on NBC movie of the week. Wish whoever owns rights, would release this full length TV movie on DVD.

@@thekookstersvault9815 OK, I was just bashing the nonsense that Cinemax is just a schlock network and HBO is prestige, when it's clearly the other way around LMAO Cinemax had all the hit shows until HBO decided to rebrand their image in 1999. But even their shows in the 2000s could never reach a "Comedy Experiment" or "SCTV" level. "Oz" was pretty average. "The Sopranos" is stupid (I know it was acclaimed but still), "Curb Your Enthusiasm," "Rome," "Boardwalk Empire," "The Corner" mini-series, and "GOT" were the exceptions as they were excellent, and they were Cinemax-like

@@thekookstersvault9815 So I apologize for finding you annoying somewhat. It's just I can't stand idiocies. Like those who think Cinemax didn't secure the high-profile releases. "GoodFellas" premiered on the network that year.

Holy shit. I'm Jonny Petersen - that's my Edmus drawing! I cannot BELIEVE this clip exists!!!! Both me and my friend Eddie watched this show at age twelve and we both sent in pics hoping he'd show them - which he did. I signed mine 'Jonnymus'. The castle pic he mentions showing the week earlier was, I believe, actually drawn by Eddie. He got his pic back (which I ended up with), but they never sent mine back from Channel 15. I am absolutely floored.... oh, and for context about my name I changed it legally in the early 2000's
