Can you control the winch with the turn dail knob..that would be more realistic.. I don't like winches rhat go full speed . With a turn dail knop you can control the speed.
@jjshobbypower909117 сағат бұрын
@robpracht9303 hello, thanks for tuning in. Yes, I'm sure you could use the dial knob for winch control. I totally agreed with you on the winch winding speed to be in scale. I default to the winch remote control because I have already used up all the channels for the 2 speed, front and rear lock diffs, etc. If you have a high count channel receiver, you could easily control the winch as well as the lightings on the transmitter. I don't think the RC6GS will have enough channel buttons to accommodate that, so maybe a different transmitter with a multi channel receiver will suffice. The Dumbo RC has a coloured screen transmitter with 10 channels receiver, which will definitely meet your requirements. Hope this helps! 😉👍🏼

@johnmarkesteban5850 Hello there! I just took mine out of the cupboard, free standing from foot to head tip antennas is about 19 to 19.5cm. The wing are movable, so if you position them very high, it could reach over 30cm, but mine with the position you see is about 23 to 24cm. @johnmarkesteban5850 you are welcome. If you like the MG Freedom Gundam, then take a look at my other video of the In Era+ Thunderbolt. It is slightly bigger than the MG Freedom, but it looks better, and the plastic quality is better also. You will also like the internal frame, I have a separate video to show the inner frame too, it is amazing. This is a 3rd party kits which I would strongly recommend over the Bandai MG kit. Take a look if you are not just into Bandai Gundam. I used to be a loyal fan to Bandai, but after I tried the In Era+ kit, I am happy to explore 3rd party kits. The In Era+ Thunderbolt remains one of the best gundam kits I have ever built in my life, and I know the version 2 of the Thunderbolt will be available soon. The 1st version that I have built is pink/purple colour with white armours, the 2nd version will be mainly white with red, yellow ans blue parts. Google the version 2 and you will see the differences. Have fun building your model kit, whichever kit you have decided to buy at the end. 😊👍🏼

I just got the defender light kit from traxxs... also ordered a 2255 servo and hobbywing esc, do I also need a lighting bsc? Or does the upgraded esc work? Thanks mate!
@jjshobbypower9091Ай бұрын
@S1k18 Thanks for tuning in. Nice tune up you have ordered for the rig. The 2255 servo is about 28kg torque and works at 6.0/7.4V, so a 2s LiPo will work right away. In regards to the Traxxas light kit, I assume you have the full set that covers the wheel wells, head and tail lights, top light bar? The original Traxxas XL5 will definitely require the BEC, as I tested it myself, otherwise there's not enough power for the servo. With your Hobbywing ESC, are you referring to the Hobbywing Fusion Quicrun 2in1, Fusion SE or Fusion Pro? If it is one of the above, then you will be fine, as all three Fusion combo above are with built-in BEC. The Fusion Quicrun 2in1 and the Fusion SE both support BEC Output of 6V/7.4V, 4A (6A Peak). The Fusion Pro supports BEC Output of 6V/7.4V, 6A. I have the Fusion Quicrun 2in1 1800kV in the Defender, I run it with 2s LiPo as I like the slow speed and don't really need the punch to jump the rig, I like the scale crawl. Even with the 2s, it works absolutely fine with the lighting kit on, driving with full speed, as well as running the front winch. I also have the Fusion SE 1200kV and the Fusion Pro 2300kV on my other competition rigs. I personally think the Fusion Pro is the best. The Quicrun 2in1 and SE are very similar. Just that the Quicrun 2in1 has a slightly higher top speed than the SE (1800kV vs 1200kV). Hope this helps. 😊👍🏼

I’m planning on getting into Gunpla and am on starting with this set. Do you think it’s a good idea?
@jjshobbypower9091Ай бұрын
@GameKnight404 hey, welcome to the gunpla hobby, and thank you for watching the video. Hope you like the RX-78 i built. This HG RX-78 is a good kit, however, it looks good when it is airbrushed, which is what I have done. If you don't have airbrush as yet, then try my other technique of polishing the parts to give that matt finish look. Watch my other video of the EG Nu Gundam (V Gundam) and you will see the result. If it is going to be your first Gunpla, the EG is the easiest kit to built and doesn't really require cutting tools like nippers etc, as you could just twist the parts out from the runner. However, if you find the EG is too easy, then starting with a HG is a good idea too, build a couple of them, and then if you prefer to see more details, then pick a kit from the "Full Mechanic", then move onto "Master Grade MG". Get some practice, and by then if you are up for bigger challenge, go for the "Perfect Grade PG". It is easier to learn your way and techniques through this path, so that you don't run before learning how to walk. Once you are experienced with building Gunpla, then try out the Master Grade Extreme MGEX, or other 3rd party gunpla like "In Era+ Thundeebolt" or "Motor Nuclear Ao Bing" as well as the other models. This hobby is endless, and there will always be new kits coming out. Hope you will find this useful. Feel free to ask me any questions any time. I am here to help. 😊👍🏼

Great job covering the proper binding procedure. I don't own a Ryft but my get one soon. It's an awesome RC but the receiver box access is lame. Perhaps they could have inverted it so that the lid comes off from below rather than having to remove it just to access the receiver. I guess there must be a reason. Thanks for covering this. New sub ....
@jjshobbypower9091Ай бұрын
@RCRoads hey buddy, I'm glad you enjoyed my video. Your kind words are greatly appreciated. The RYFT is an amazing rig. It is strange with the receiver access not being easy access, that I'm not totally sure why they have done that. It is capable of running with 2s, 3s and 4s. My personal favourite is with the 3s, totally manageable and it is fun. Running 4s is purely for the speed to kick up dust and dirt, but it is too wild. My opinion is to add the additional sway bar to stop the torque twist for 3s and 4s. Some people would run it with 2s, and use it as Crawler. The RYFT has (front, middle, rear) differentials, so locking the diffs will definitely help when crawling, otherwise, leave all 3 differentials as opened as use it as a rock bouncer. Either way is fun and I'm sure you will enjoy it. 😊👍🏼
@RCRoadsАй бұрын
@@jjshobbypower9091 Thanks so much for all the great insight into the Ryft. I have been wanting one for a while and have already purchased some parts. It's probably going to cost a fortune to put one together piece by piece but I'm trying to go with conservative upgrades. Aluminum axels and center diff. I'm not sure if I'll go with the Ryft cage at first but hopefully it will work out. I'll just take my time and enjoy.
@RCRoadsАй бұрын
@@jjshobbypower9091 Thanks for the info about the diffs. I think running on 3s would be perfect and probably less strain on the drivetrain. Exocaged RC put them on the rear and front and it really helped with the twist action. I will have to wait a while until I get mine going but hopefully some parts will be under the Christmas tree. Hopefully I can assemble everything properly.

@jaibir2126 thanks for tuning in. You don't have to add any red colour to be honest, it looks rather nice with the white body. As mentioned in the video, I have two set of this Ducati Panigale S kit, so the 2nd set I will be doing the engine detailing as well as airbrushing the body to something like a gun metal colour, just my personal preference. 😊👍🏼

If you are planning to paint the forehead piece to orange, then it will match the body very nicely. The Thunderbolt is one of the best kits I have ever built, and to be honest, in my opinion, I think it is better than Bandai MG kits, as the parts are easy to clean, nicely click together and the complete build looks amazing, you will realise how good it looks comparing to Gundam MG once it is done. I had the Thunderbolt right next to the MG Freedom Gundam 2.0 the other day, and the Freedom Gundam just looks so basic and lacks body details. 😅👍🏼

One thing I like about it is the way they mould the plastic runners, the finishing of the plastic parts have a matt finish to it, so I don't even need to spray matt finish at the end. If you are not applying decals, a straight build finish is already really nice. If you apply decals, a top layer will protect the decals. However, what you see in the video is without the top layer, I let the water slide decals to dry naturally for 48 hours before touching. Even after posing the figure, all the decals are still intact and undamaged. It is a wonderful kit. 😊 👍🏼

I don't mind telling you right now, in my opinion, this is by far the best Mobile Suit model kit I have ever built. The parts on the runners are on point, plastic runners quality is better. In Era+ has really thought about where to put the nubs connecting the parts to the runners, the parts can be easily cut out, the nubs are easy to clean up. They made 95% of the external visible parts with undergate, the hidden parts are with normal gates but they are easy to clean up and they are at locations which are not in front of your face, a very well done to In Era+ for taking the extra step to provide their customers a great building experience. I was originally a bit worried about the number of runners, as there are just so many, but the experience is really great and the details on each of the parts is so good, it makes the whole building experience very enjoyable. The inner frame I have built so far is extremely impressive, I will upload a short video to show everyone the details once the inner frame is complete. I'm more than impressed by this kit, and I will definitely buy from In Era+ again. 🫡🙇🏻♂️👍🏼

I have both the RG and HG kits, even though the RG is a lot more detailed and has better color separation, I still prefer the HG mainly because of the proportion. The legs are longer, the feet are slimmer, the wings are a bit bigger on the HG, so all in all, it makes the HG look cooler with just a bit of painting or customizations. I decided to paint the "inner frames" of the HG (not really haha), and any parts that are supposed to be gold in gold color, also paint a few other details here and there (in the legs, vents, etc.), adding water slide decals, a layer of top coat and IMO it looks better than the RG. It of course takes efforts but it's worth it I think. The RG SF is still great though, it's just that the proportion of the early RGs in general does't look that good to me (compared to MG, or even some modern HGs) Great comparison though! Very useful for those who are looking into buying these!

Thanks, glad you enjoyed watching my video. You are right about the RG, although it is more detailed, the proportion of the body is slightly different to the HG. The HG has the body shape like the Ver.Ka. Another thing about the RG is that it is very detailed with the colour separation, but the backpack is a lot heavier than the HG backpack, so it struggles to stand up straight, but propping it on a display stand will resolve the issue. With the Advanced MS inner frame, the RG is just too floppy comparing to the HG. My HG can stand on its own feet without any support regardless whether the backpack is opened or not. I also find the RG required a lot more effort in polishing and cleaning up nubs in order to look good, the HG is a lot easier. It is fair to say the RG really did test my patience. I can imagine your HG must look really good with all the additional painting, nice work! I hope Bandai will release a RG Strike Freedom 2.0 soon to fix up the Advanced MS joints. The more recent released of RG are great though, as they do not have the early RG syndrome, and they are all pretty firm in terms of their joints, like the RG Tallgeese, RG Zeong, RG Nu Gundam, RG Hi-Nu Gundam and RG Sazabi, they are all very top class RG model kits. I can't wait to buy the soon to be released RG RX-78-2 2.0, it looks so good comparing to the last one, and it also has a lot more details on the inner body frame. Really looking forward to the release and will definitely get one. 😊👍🏼

@@jjshobbypower9091 You're right that the RG SF really test the patience! Mine is also more floppy than the HG (I also have the RG Freedom & Justice, and they all seem to share the exact same pre-molded inner frames which really explains why), at least it's not that bad compared to Zeta or Sinanju, but definitely worst than a few later kits (despite also beeing early RGs) like Wing/Zero EW or 00 series, let alone the even newer ones as you mentioned lol I hope so, about Bandai releasing the 2.0 for other early kits, like what they will do with Granpa 2.0. The early RGs even though are not as stable as the new mini MGs, I still think they are worth collecting, mostly because they are unique (both good and bad), beautiful to look at (minus the proportion issue), and really helped me to enhance my skill through the years haha (man I hate Zeta, but it's absolutely the best looking version, even better than MG 2.0 or ver Ka IMO), so that's why I still keep collecting them, till this day. Really appreciate your review (and love) for these older ones! Looking forward to see more of your videos in the future!

@nguyenx86 thank you do much for your support, it is much appreciated. I think the more recent RG are great as they are more robust, the earlier ones though, a little sloppy, but we would always glue the joints to make it a fixed model. We appreciate the shape and the details more than anything, it is not like we would pick it up and play with it and twisting all the arms and legs all the time. To me, I don't mind gluing everything, as once they are built, they are display pieces, more like art works than toys that you play around with. So whichever ones they are, they definitely have their values. Just my personal preference that I like those with a lot of details, as eveeytime I look at it, it would give me something to look at and to appreciate the details and design. 😊👍🏼

The MGEX Strike Freedom is definitely one of my favourite Gundam, I have the kit sitting in front of me but haven't had time to build it as yet, as I know it would take ages. I think Strike Freedom is best in its RG, MGEX and PG Grade. 😊👍🏼

I've built it a couple months ago and it's quite satisfying except the tiny metallic stickers and etching metallic parts that were a pain for me but got through it.

@@xxraverxxonxtacy I can imagine building the MGEX must be quite an experience, I am very patient as you can tell from my other videos that I take my time to polish my Gundam Models a lot, so building the MGEX will definitely take me a while. I will schedule to build the MGEX later this year, right now I'm building something else, you will get to see what it is in my next video. The video is currently under editing, and will be available on my channel pretty soon. Keep an eye on it, I think you will like it too. 😊👍🏼

RG wins for sure but the HG can be scratch built to look close enough to the RG but will take time/effort. MGEX SF is my favorite variant followed by the RG.

Glad you like my video. LC70 is nice also. 👌🏼 Traxxas TRX-4 has been a really good crawler for a long time. The new Redcat is pretty good too, it comes with carbon fibre body frame and brushless motor. 😊👍🏼
