I'll tell U exactly what it is, The record companies bought stock in the prison system, the housing, toiletries and every aspect of it and then focused on gangster rape so they made money off the cds promoting and glorifying the gangster life style then made money off of them once they went to prison. And its easier to get a poor black kid from the ghetto who wants to be a rapper to soul his soul than it is a kid from the suburbs who plays rock. And not having to pay musicians because there are none in rap.

Rock is dead because it wasn’t lucrative for the recording companies. It’s more expensive to sign an entire band when you can sign one person.. that’s why you have the shit music we have now

I honestly never heard of her, was she any good? I'm jw; not trolling or anything, I'm a huge music snob, but if it's some1 or a group I've never heard of from the 90s & 00s, they were either a 1-hit wonder, or not very impactful. Not saying at all this was the case here, but that's why I ask

I wasn't a teen, a family friend had come back from America and let me borrow a tape recording he'd made of a radio show while he was out there...as soon as I heard the rotor blades my ears pricked up, then I heard the sample "It's My Thing!" the beat came on and I was hooked!!!
