The power of a 9F is unmatched. I had an old NYMR VHS tape from when they had 92220 Evening Star on the railway during the 80's. They filmed Evening Star a few hundred yards further up the incline from where this spot is, the driver fully opened the regulator as the train emerged from the MPD area and she went up the 1:49 with 8 carriages as if she was empty. Incredible and beautiful locomotives.

Ain't nothing sounds more refreshing than the mighty chuffing of a steam locomotive making its way down the railroad line with a train to pull behind it. I swear, it's things in life like these that are worthwhile to witness and be heavily impressed to peak my rural fascination with them.

Thanks 👍 I only managed to get the few shots of the freight at Grosmont as I was busy in the morning. Was going to try catch it passing over moorgates but missed it 🤣
