The most disturbing part of this video was that he felt the need to explain that a live salmon doesnt look the same as what a cooked salmon looks like on a plate

There are some issues with the "skin theory". 1. There's evidence of a theory that the characters on the show are fish that were exposed to radiation and Sandy is there to tape them. Though this is still just a theory and a weaker argument than my rest. 2. There have been instances where the characters have gone above water, such as the one where they made a bet with Sandy. (Land critters vs sea critters). Not to mention the episode Hookie where Spongebob and Patrick get taken up by hooks. 3. In the first Spongebob movie, they encounter real humans, TWICE. And both of them were 20X their size. So are all the people of Bikini Bottom just extremely small midgets compared to David Hasselhoff and the guy in the deep sea diving suit? 4. Do they really just wear suits on top of other suits? That seems a little too odd. And how many can they really wear if they are human under there? If 3 break, they'd have to be pretty small to fit under them all. 5. Why would they act as fish just to script a show? I mean, why go out of the way to do all of that and how? It's a cartoon. The guy in the gorilla and horse suit look real compared to the cartoon characters. That seems like a huge contradiction as far as how the universe's consistency works. Assuming they are humans dressed up like fish, why are those two characters specifically NOT cartoons while the rest of Bikini is? 6. Why are there bubbles floating around in Bikini Bottom if there's no water? And are the Jellyfish humans too? I guess that would make sense since the main characters can dress up as rocks. How do Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy do a "raging whirlpool" (one of the moves they displayed in their very first appearance)? Are they paddling through the air? When the Dirty Bubble is popped, where's the rest of him? His "costume" is gone. Is he using some kind of camo? This might be a bit more irrelevant, but there was a joke in one episode (one of the weaker episodes after Hillenburg left) where a mom put floaties on her fish son. The son then floated up into the surface and basically died (assumingly). Therefore, the water lifted him up after he wore the floaties.

You described Patrick removing and reapplying a bandage repeatedly as "removing SpongeBob's skin" and there are several moments where there are clear and obvious references being made to other tropes or media.
