I have been doing this for at least five years maybe a little longer. I’ve always given myself an 85% success rate. Your video helped to validate what I was doing correctly and showed me opportunities for improvement. Thank you because I’m pretty sure when I first started doing this there weren’t that many ultrasound videos and the ones I did find were not great. The past few years there have been some that have been better but yours by far has been the best. I look forward to going to work and the next time someone wants me to try to start an IV using the ultrasound I will be trying these techniques. Thank you so much for sharing.

Totally agree. The american healthcare system has totally failed the male species when it comes to any sort of intimate care. The don't encourage men to go into areas where their fellow males need them most. Sonography & Urology. Because of their failure men are walking away from needed healthcare leaving their family & loved one asking why they died at such an early age. Make no mistake. Their early deaths are solely the responsibility of the American healthcare system. Their blood is on the hands of every healthcare worker who stands quiet while the abuse continues. A female healthcare worker needlessly exposes a male patient on purpose then, verbally embarrasses then humiliates him in front of other female healthcare workers. He files a complaint with the facility & the state nursing board. She knows, his complaint will be laughed right into the shredder so she goes on abusing male patients. There are no meaningful consequences within the healthcare system today to stop this kind of rampant male patient abuse which in turn, has male patients walking away from needed healthcare in numbers never seen before. Healthcare executives know this to be true but choose to ignore it & sweep it under the rug. They'd rather trade men's lives for the almighty dollar every day. Women are treated like royalty, while males are treated like rift raft. Maybe if RFK becomes the new Secretary of HHS, men can get protections put into place system wide to better protect them the female abusers running wild in today's healthcare system.

I’m perplexed as to why a woman chose this area of specialty, but I have to hand it to Dr. Werner. This is hands-down the absolute most informative video on this subject. I have several nodular lumps in there, but no money for getting an ultrasound. So I’m having to diagnose myself until I can afford to do so.

How can you tell if there are nerve bundles around the vein?
@fredjones5542 ай бұрын
Learn the anatomy of the large nerves, especially when they are superficial. If you are gentle and you hit one anyway, the patient will tell you (electric shock pain), stop the procedure immediately and pull out. Just touching the nerve will cause pain before you have injured it. Pull out immediately. Most nerves are pretty strong and recover well if you are gentle. Even if you are not gentle, most nerves recover well but it may take 6 months. This is from spinal anesthesia data.

I find it amusing on the testicular ultrasound you show a close up of the males balls but, for a pelvic ultrasound you don't show a close up of a females pussy.
