Maybe it's just me but spike in the comic seems to show signs of autism for eg: - Bluntly speaking truth. - Difficulty sitting still. - Hyperfixsating on theses of interest. - failure to pick up on body language or social cues. - tendencie to accidentally hurt or offend someone's feelings while explaining things with good intentions. Among other things.

This video gives me life. I keep coming back to it. It's one of the most pure and wholesome and cathartic love videos I've ever seen. This ship is and always will be real to me. Everything about this video is absolutely perfect. The dynamic is wonderful. Rarity believing she is too old for anyone to love her, being scared of Spike, etc. Spike having grown up on the outside, but still being the same beautiful soul on the inside who never stopped loving her. Rarity realizing that Spike is the greatest opportunity for love and to be loved, and she never realized it until she herself believed she was too old to be loved. Spike being brave but bashful, and Rarity taking the lead from her more experienced outlook. Then, at the culmination, Spike gaining the confidence to follow-through. It plays on everything that makes us human and I cannot overstate how much of a masterpiece this is to me.

I remember being 10 (nearly 11) watching this and then reading the fanfic and having this come back on my recommended allows me to relive the horror of discovering Spike has 2... welll....

I came across this song years ago. It reminds me of my dad, who has been gone 2 years, coming up on 3 next March. I know that I and my mom did our best to take care of him as he got weaker and weaker from cancer treatments. I often wonder if I've made him proud of me. This song is beautiful.
