Great video, just found you and subscribed..............one thing, why don't you swirl the can to get all the thick goodness out that has dropped to the bottom, it certainly changes the beers for the better.....................in my humble opinion :)

Hey, Thanks for subscribing, really appreciate it! That's a good tip, I sometimes swirl in order to get aromas out, however I don't tend to give it too much as I find that swirling can knock out too much carbonation meaning it loses it's head quicker. Maybe a good video idea of seeing how it can affect a beer side by side 👍🏼

Clean and clear light golden body, white head that soon turns into a wisp and collar. Hedgerow, skunky aroma with some lemon accents. Watered down Old Golden Hen really, but fairly hop bitter.

I wouldn’t have the faintest idea 😂 part of me thinks that they would use common hop varieties but also I feel like they might try and give us a red herring with a hop that tastes similar but is actually an obscure hop. Guessing hops is hard!

Hi JD, Andy here, Head of Marketing at Siren. We just came across your channel and I just want to say a massive thank you for firstly picking up our advent calendar, but even more so for all the time you've put into this series of videos. It's hugely appreciated by the team and I'm glad that overall you enjoyed the calendar and found it good value for money. I just thought I'd add some more context for you as you've put a lot of effort into this and are clearly interested in how the calendars get put together. The total value of the beers in calendar in the end was £94.10, so you were pretty damn close working it out. Just for a bit of extra context, when breweries and shops put these calendars out, we also have to factor in the extra cost of the cardboard. Typically this is between £5 and £20 per unit depending on the complexity/quality, size and the quantity we order (so Brewdog for example will be paying much less per unit than we are). Of course, we also have the shipping box and we also offer free shipping. On top of this, it's also a big effort from our small team to pick and pack the calendars and get them out in time for the start of December. With all that in mind, it's really not easy offer great variety, unique beers and great value all in one. However, the excitement it can bring and the trust people have in us to deliver makes it completely worthwhile. It's amazing that people choose to countdown to Christmas with our box in their living rooms and we'll never lose sight of that. Thanks for the feedback on the ordering of the days, I'll have a look back over that and bear in mind for next year. One thing I do factor in is days of the week, so trying to keep the bigger or celebration beers on the weekends sometimes does skew it a bit. We'll have a look back over your reviews and see what other learnings we can take. Hey Andy, Thank you so much for spotting my videos and providing all the additional information, your team did an amazing job with the calendar and I appreciate all the additional tasks and challenges that go with creating a calendar of this quality, it's fantastic value for the customer, especially with the £10 voucher and the beers included in the calendar had good variety of styles and ABV I know you say it's hard to tick every box people want to be ticked from the calendar, but I think you have done a stellar job and a damn sight better than some others I saw online. Glad to hear I wasn't miles off with the value, I had to guestimate as best I could with beers that were not for sale on the online shop so essentially looked at a beer at similar ABV and adjusted the price dependent on the ABV being higher or lower of the beer I was trying to price up I knew I wasn't going to be 100% right as different beers means different ingredients and many other factors that will affect how much it's sold for. I will almost certainly be using my voucher to check out some other beers not included in the calendar, just biding my time to see if any new releases will be made by the end of Jan. Once I've placed the order I will be sure to drop you a line, and appreciate the token of gratitude. I find that craft beer shops these days are on par with retro videogame stores. When people who have knowledge and passion put it all into the effort of creating an immersive space and art style/layout, and it shows. This place looks great.

They're missing a trick not naming it peachy on the beachy. Also did you drop the bottle cap to the floor? Lol I'm starting to dislike peach or mango beer, seems the 'in thing ' at the moment. Great review.

As a German I am going to speak for my country. American beer tastes like piss. Drink the real German one. But watch what sort of beer it is. So, it is probably not surprising that there are now varieties of beer in Germany brewed in 1,300 breweries. My favourite by far is Krombacher.

Interesting watch. And not a bad haul for the price at all. Sainsburys in Matlock Bath has a decent selection of craft beers for a supermarket also.
