I would hold off shaving for at least the week your skin is healing. You'll have to shave before the procedure. The difference all really vary depending on the persons own skin. But in my case I didn't notice a huge change till the 3rd or 4th session.

@@JohnFabulin Thanks. I felt scruffy so I did shave after a shower this morning, first cleaning the skin with Spectro Jel, a gentle cleanser with no fragrance, followed by a thin coat of Aquaphor. I may switch to CereVe moisturizer cream which is thinner and less like Vaseline. It’s now two days and though the skin is red, I’m surprised not to see any evidence of peeling.

@@31xrg Peeling wont happen till probably the 4th or 5th day. if you keep using a aquaphor it won't peel as quickly since it keeps it hydrated. Good luck to you.

Hi, based on my experience and the type of laser I had, usually there is a scabbing period where the skin will start to form scabs which can appear darker. When the scab falls off, it exposes the fresh new skin underneath that can be very light and pink in tone. Laser healing can also depend on your skin type if you're more sensitive or not. Also your aftercare of the laser can really make a big difference. I stayed indoors and avoided getting any sun exposure because it can cause pigmentation to happen. I also wear SPF 30+, sunglasses and a hat if I go out. Now the mask also helps cover your face from sun exposure. Drinking lots of water will help speed up the healing process especially if you don't drink much water in the first place. These are my opinions and no way a medical advice. Please consult with the person who performed the service on you. I have other videos that document the healing process.

I personally use aquaphor and SPF 30 + when I going outside. But I actually stay at home for two days after the procedure.
