You shouldn’t be allowed to hunt. Disgraceful! You think it’s status, you hunt cause you can afford it. But know this, YOU are NOT a hunter.

Wha are they doing wrong, this is how we work in Africa, just cause I doesn’t look the same as what you do in America, doesn’t mean is no hunting
All fish that are caught for eating must be handled carefully to reduce stress and humanely killed as soon as possible after capture. Humane killing requires that the fish is stunned (rendered instantaneously insensible) before being bled out. Percussive stunning involves a forceful and accurate blow to the head with a blunt instrument. The force required will depend on the size of the fish. The blow should be aimed just above the eyes to impact on the brain. The effectiveness of the stun should be checked and another blow applied if the fish is not unconscious. After stunning the fish should be bled out by cutting the gill rakers or, with larger fish, a main artery. With the very small fish breaking the neck is good way to kill. Just put your thumb or other finger to the mouth of the fish and quickly make a move upwards. All this is important because fish also feel pain and suffer. When the fish is in pain and suffering, the fish also produce stress hormone. Stress hormone makes the meat of the fish taste worst and stress hormone also reduce keeping quality. Tight lines!

@adamcavanagh11887 жыл бұрын
Honestly "Usually most of the fish are released..." Did not see a single fish being released. No one enjoys seeing every fish die. Looks and feels so much better to release an amazing fish, not kill it. Catch and release, let it go, let it grow. Fish for the future like "morningtide fishing" does!
@m640515 жыл бұрын
@@adamcavanagh1188 I'm 1000% on your side. As I mentioned in other comments, it was a commercial fishing trip which this boat has to do sometimes in low season and I was part of it that time... At our age, when the video was made, we were not conscious about releasing yet. I personally release 7/8th of all my fish nowadays; occasionally keeping one for "Catch and cook" as you call it in your videos (or the briggsy's ones). I really enjoy watching all your stuff and I think you guys are an inspiration for every fisherman! Keep going, you make us dream!! Let me know if you guys travel across the Indian Ocean to Mauritius, we could make a plan ;)

Eduardo Garcia : You are totally uninformed and uneducated regarding African wildlife. You should reserve your comments until you have some knowledge of the subject of regulated African wildlife hunting. Without hunter's dollars there would be no wildlife remaining in Africa. Hunter's trophy fees pay for conservation efforts and anti-poaching rangers. Talk to conservation officers, park rangers, or professional hunters as I have and you will learn the truth. Although repulsive to your delicate sensibilities, hunters do more for conservation than all you little goodie two shoes put together. African villagers are starving for protein and not one ounce of usable meat is wasted. So think about that the next time you're shoving a hamburger down your pie hole assbucket.

don't loose time with him , is the typical "emotion drive me, not logic" even in front of proof that money from hunting are the real conservation, he will attack you.
