For years and years I've returned to this video whenever I remember the song. As far as I'm concerned, this is the official video for it. Absolutely beautiful.

This song is about "Umvolkung", at least the video is. Shoegazing hippies are onto something.......15 years ago.......

This song hits me in particular cuz i've never bith thieen able to form meaningful romantic relationships, dated lots of girls, had sex with a lot of them, but it was just that. Never got to have someone who i enjoyed my passions with. "I was sure i'd find love with this one laying with me, crying again..." are words i cold've said several times already.

I feel like many of us associate this song with someone "who got away." Myself included. I met a great guy named Tyson. We had a ton in common. He introduced me to Bloc Party. He even sang me this song. We had so much in common, we cared for each other deeply. But we just couldn't be... We both accepted that... But I am grateful to have met Bloc Party through him, and without that integral person, I would never have had that one puzzle piece that unlocked the whole puzzle that made my life completely as it is.

l'm in my late 40's. l'm autistic. l've never had a girl friend in my life. l've only had sex with one girl when l was 20 and l hated it with her. l've not had sex in over 26 years. l've missed out on so many girls who liked me but l was too ashamed to even talk to them because of my autism. People say l don't look autistic. l cried my eyes out listening to this song knowing l will never find a girl who understands me and l will literally die alone.

if you keep telling those blockages to yourself, nothing is going to change. You shouldn't look back, look in the future and change something. Crying isn't gonna help your situation.

There is a wall that runs right through me Just like the city, I will never be joined What is this love? Why can I never hold it? Did it really run out in the strangers' bedrooms? I I have decided At twenty-five Something must change Saturday night in East Berlin We took the U-Bahn to the East Side Gallery I was sure I'd found love with this one lying with me Crying again in the old bahnhof I I have decided At twenty-five That something must change After sex The bitter taste Been fooled again The search continues
