You can't even be serious. I know Kubrick is from New York but he lived in the UK for the majority of his life and preferred it over the US. He moved there in the 1960s and stayed there until he died. This is a well known fact. And just because he wanted to make a film about The Holocaust, doesn't mean that being Jewish was a center point in his life. He told plenty of stories about significant periods in history. What's your point? You're kind of being ridiculous at this point dude.

That still doesn't take away from the fact that their Jewishness has little to nothing to do with their personality, outlook, talent, or art. Harmony is a born and raised southerner who got into the skateboarder/drug subculture and moved to NYC and Kubrick was for all intents and purposes a Brit(even though he was born in the US). Those things infinitely had more of an influence on them rather than the fact that they are "Jewish". If you think otherwise, I really don't know what to tell you.

1. Jewishness is not a nationality, it's an ethnic and/or religious group. Nationality has to do with what country you are from. 2. The two guys you're talking about are only Jewish ethnically. Neither of them ever followed a specific religion. So no, I don't think the fact that they are Jewish has anything to do with who they are as a person. To me it sounds like you are sort of a racist.

He's just saying that he uses all of his time for being productive instead of going out to bars and things that other people do. Also that all his work he does at a comfortable pace and then the interviewer makes a joke that he feels bad because he feels like he wastes all his time!

I'm pleasantly surprised that he speaks Spanish so well, because he also speaks English perfectly. And it's not just that, anybody can learn two or more languages fluently, but he also has the accent, which means he must use it a lot with his family, which is very good. I'm latino, too, but my Spanish is not as good as that, even though I speak it at home as well. I've lost the accent from my country.

Hay mucho cine detras, te recomiendo ver a Tarkovsky, el poeta por excelencia del cine, otro grande, Bergman, ese cine que realmente llega al plano intimista, al fondo de las cosas, directo, sin quedarse en la superficie, que funciona. Ellos sabían del dominio técnico como primer factor, del estilo como segundo y finalmente concretar su visión personal y universal del mundo, por eso son tan humanos, y hay grandes actores en esas películas a quienes se les cree verdaderamente.

Nos vamos entendiendo mejor, Reygadas tiene una postura sobre el cine y eso es bueno, yo no comparto dicha postura, tiene momentos, estoy de acuerdo pero en la unidad se vuelve disparejo y confuso, para llegar al momento sublime en sus filmes creo que pasa por alto muchos elementos que lo pueden llevar a el , es ahí donde encuentro que su narrativa cae y se pierde en un mar de tomas a veces como notas sueltas y desentonadas en una sinfonía, bien que haya propuesta en el cine mexicano.

Creo que es bastante pretencioso su concepto de la actuación, en su cine en verdad no existe la actuación, creo que se equivoca, no funciona su puesta en escena, no transmite nada, no dudo que tenga una buena propuesta pero finalmente es fallida en pantalla, hace un cine tedioso que se siente vacio y arrogante, sobrevalorado totalmente este director.
