Just for your information, it is attached to the Florida Mall with a mall access. But , you do not have access to the Mall whenever you want to. They are COMPLETELY SEPARATE PROPERTIES with separate owners, even with different addresses! The Hotel closes their doors and gate to the Mall around 9 PM & opens them at 7 AM! Hotel guests DO NOT get special access to the Mall during special releases! In other words, you don't get to be first in line in front of THE APPLE STORE whenever you want to!

I worked Security at the Florida Mall for over 20 yrs,(Mostly at Night) and I lost count of how many times that I was threatened by Hotel guests(In Multiple Languages) promising to have me fired for NOT letting them be first in line ALL NIGHT LONG at the Apple Store for the latest phone! Some the Hotel staff would even tell their guests to ignore us because we worked for the Hotel! It led to Numance OCSD calls & even TRESSPASSES & ARRESTS! I was the one who ran the Sneaker & Phone Releases, FOR YEARS, and in spite of the make-up of the Sneaker Fanatics (Including Known Bangers from different groups), I hardly EVER had a problem with them! HOWEVER, the Phone Releases were "The Release from HELL', because it would last for weeks! You would have the Initial Release with a crowd of about 500 -1000, but, unlike the Sneaker Releases, which would just be one night/morning, we would get International Tourists showing up(On average 250 by morning), FOR WEEKS, from the Hotel, and others nearby, EVERY NIGHT, ALL NIGHT, wanting to buy just as many phones as they could so that they could take them back to sell them for a HUGE profit! Apple KNEW ALL THIS of COURSE, and they would only restock a very few (20, AT the MOST) at a time, forcing the tourists to keep coming back, NIGHTLY, to be First in Line! Stores were required by the Mall to hire Off Duty OCSD for Large Releases, BUT they RARELY EVER DID!!! And we NEVER got paid extra and was Rarely even Thanked by the stores for handling their releases without trouble, And NEVER by APPLE!!!

Thats not the only hotel,with bad reputation by tourists. Way up on the I drive corridor is alot more, the reason lack of hotels hiring enough employees. Plus the tourism is not the same like back in the early 90s and even earlier 2000s.. At that time the tourism industry was booming .. Now after the pandemic orlando has charged a lot. Everything is expensive with the them parks. Not everybody can afford to a trip to orlando in this days...😒

I 100% agree! I've been in this area for a long time and watched all these places get brought to their knees. It's definitely not a budget friendly destination any longer.

It's definitely pricey! If you have the space and are in a good location, it's a great Airbnb investment. The owner where I stayed has two on a few acres, and they are booked 25+ nights a month at around $200 a night. As a tiny home, I definitely wouldn't either. Cheers!

I don't disagree with that. But there's something cool about this that people will pay for. If it's turning a 15x profit, then I get it. Very few are trying to live in them; they are all Airbnb rentals.

Yes, the other property right next to that HOJO has definitely seen better days. It’s an abandoned hotel, which coincidentally used to be another HOJO a long time ago before becoming individually owned. It’s been sitting empty for more than 4 years after it got shut down due to a series of code violations and terrible complaints.
