One of the great radio voices of our generation! I could listen to him singing anything at all. In my book, he and the guys in LRB are the real reason Australian music broke out into the world in the 1970s. Bravo, Glenn!

I had forgotten what real energy felt like, yeah, it’s been over 2 years and I don’t crave the stuff anymore, surprisingly I didn’t suffer withdrawal and that was key, not even within the first days after go’ogling Steffon Barkload’s Quit Drinking Forever and quitting because I wanted to with no pressure or anything.

Jimmy could not perform at the scheduled headliner on Rock The Boat, as he fell extremely, ill requiring emergency surgery. All the musicians on board the ship gathered together at a day's notice, and little or no rehearsal, to help his daughter Mahalia put on a fabulous show of all of Jimmy's favorite songs. We were all very grateful to them all and just hoping Jimmy would pull through, which is ultimately did and we are lucky to see him performing again.

This was on Rock The Boat Cruise. Jimmy Barnes was supposed to perform but was hospitalised with pneumonia. His eldest daughter Mahalia organised some of his musical mates on the cruise to play his set list for him in his absence. The Australian music brotherhood at it's best!!

My cousin and I went to see Foreigner in 78 and Chisel opened for them. I had no idea who they were at the time, but I can remember being very impressed by them immediately. Their energy, Jim's voice, the amazing rhythm section and Mossy's guitar all made an impression but when they did One Long Day and Mossy started singing, we were blown away. I can remember us agreeing that any band that had a 2nd vocalist with a voice like that might do ok LOL. I got their album the next week (and must admit I was a bit disappointed with it compared to how they'd been live) but I kept buying the albums and seeing their shows and I still reckon they were as good live (or better) than any of the overseas acts I went to over the years, and I went to a lot.

@@ThatRadioChickBy the time your episodes went to air Burgo’s moustache had actually been shaved off. The following week’s TV Week featured a picture of a clean-shaven Burgo with Adriana, she was actually holding the razor to his face - something for charity and he decided not to grow it back after people told him he looked younger.

Funny, I only sing the band's words myself, mainly because I didn't want to be on video singing the reply just in case my children would ever see it. I don't think there's any stopping it now though.
