This guy really gets it. We have to make the industry better by selling our own brand. The top junior pro player is not the only valuable brand at your club. How many people want to know YOU?

In the first part you state the philosophy pretty much of walking before you run.. the cla approach would contradict this and render things like shadow swings useless . Though I would see the merits in both I wonder what others think...

Sampras elbow is behind the line of his shoulders in slow motion I’ve seen? Roddick too..I think some things just happen naturally for some players, don’t think they were forcing it

They keep talking about "ladies tennis" and these drills would be great for older ladies. For advanced players, not so much.

Thank you so much. I played Dickie a few times in the first or second round in the ELTAs. He was all class and a great sportsman. Brilliant. I just saw a photo of him shaking hands as a winner at a tennis club in Melbourne. I was lecturing there. What a thrill.

Excellent content as usual. Standing off screen while talking is not optimal. why not use a wider angle?

No and just a very limited to suggest you need to always operate outside the ball.... with this approach, you will be locked out of the premier Attack shot of all the greats, the Congruent Tennis "power Fade Drive." THis demonstrates a fundamental misunderstanding of how the strings can control the ball direction for more than just a simple angle of refraction, along with the important role of pulling the racket thru contact to accelerate the racket head .

so much wrong at 56 mins....No, you should not always be on the outside of the ball and the fact he can't hit an angled volley when dragging the volley properly speaks volumes.

9:24 replace the ball on the ground with rackets and launch them across the net. similar to richard williams teaching his daughters how to serve by throwing rackets across the court.

It is a damn shame the audio is so poor, as this is the only video on the internet outside of my own tennis coaching channel that discusses these fundamentals and they are not hard to do, even an 8 year old can do this, and in no universe is a normal 8 year olds hand, arm and rotator cuff muscles ever stronger than their legs and core, but all the fools on the internet think it is appropriate to teach an arm based swing on the mistaken impression that it will be easier to do and more importantly has more power/generates a faster racquet head speed easier, as if the laws of physics and mechanics somehow do not apply to children and teenagers. And more importantly for those that understand, tennis once you have the technical fundamentals down is essentially a timing and rhythm game when it comes to the hitting, and an hand/arm based swing has a completely different timing and rhythm to a leg/core based swing, but hey, lets wait until we are thinking about getting serious about tennis before we really start focusing on an leg/core based swing. Opps, you are now 16 years old and have just wasted 8-10 years practising an arm based swing. Bad luck for you I guess. 🙄 P.S. Almost 100% guaranteed that you will injure yourself if you start trying to play hard against good players using an arm based swing! The more a person relies on their hand/arm the more their likelihood of getting injured is, or at the very least the more inconsistent they will be.

Over the years I have heard all sorts of doubles strategies and positioning but rarely backed by data. As an elite pro with the USPTA I would enjoy more content like this. Coaching driven by analytics over opinions is fantastic. Thank you for sharing.

9 of 29.038 points equals (approximately) to 0.03 %, NOT 0.0003 %; and 1 of 16862 points ~ 0.0059 % ~ 0.006 %. Just saying. Incompetence, sloppiness or intentional "dramatization" of the data. Get your figures straight, Mr. O'Shannessy! Then we talk!
