Been to baffel hous the first time today! It's a WICKED place! They even got Marshalls sorting parking spaces wich is excellent, and one of them, before I pulled away pointed out my kickstand wasn't fully up wich is brilliant. The food is cracking and it's realy reasonably priced. Loads of mirch and loads of bikes and everyone is friendly. We have decided to meet there initially for breakfast before going out into the wilds in future. Realy enjoyed the place. Highly recommend!

I'm just hoping Harley continues to try and appeal to the under 60 crowd. A middleweight version of the Pan Am, a more classic version of the Sportster, etc. No one I know is interested in a giant bagger.

@@sweet-triple-UK the sportster S imho is rather ugly. It's what I would expect an out of touch elder to design to appeal to the younger demographic. They need to look to Triumph, Indian, Moto Guzzi or even Suzuki to understand classic design. Same with the Fat Bob. They are trying to be ''futuristic' in their design. I appreciate them trying, but their designers are just out of touch.

Great video! I don't imagine the Harley riding community across the pond is quite as big as it is here in the US, especially in the Midwest. Sportbikes used to dominate in California, but I think the movement has switched to the big baggers in recent years. I just bought a 2024 Road Glide. I've been riding liter and 600 cc sportbikes for the past 26 years. I've had a Ducati 1098 and a Multistrada, GSXR 1000, GSXR 600, a 2021 S1000RR with the M package, so switching to a big bagger was quite an adjustment. I also used to have a 2018 Godlwing bagger and a 2019 BMW K1600B. Of the three baggers I've had, I like this Road Glide the most. The Goldwing handled the best at low speeds and the K1600B handled the best at high speeds and in the corners but it buffeted pretty bad at 90 mph and above. I also didn't like the BMW thumb-wheel controls to navigate the screens and infotainment system. I do wish the Road Glide had a reverse because it's a chore to move it around the driveway if there is any kind of an incline. Throttle response on the Glide is very abrupt at slow speeds in Road Mode, so I think I'll go into the custom ride mode and dial back the throttle response to something in between Rain and Road Modes. I can't imagine riding with 100% throttle response, that might be kind of scary with 130 ft-lbs of torque. One of the first things I'm going to change is to get some floorboards that allow me to put my feet back about a 1/2 inch or so to more of my natural riding position.

@@sweet-triple-UK My prior bike was a Ultra Limited (same bat-wing firing) so that made an easy transition. As for Street Glide vs Road Glide - several reasons. First it LOOKS more like a the way cruising motorcycle should look (in my opinion). Next the Road Glide just reminds me of my old Honda Goldwing and Yamaha Venture Royale. The two bikes are close and someone once said - get the bike that makes you smile when you go to get on, and the Street Glide does that for me. Lastly, everyone over on this side of the pond is swarming to the Road Glides, and I like to be different.

It’s awful. The kerbs are jagged tiles rather than smooth, the track was ruined by putting Edwina’s in to slow down the lake esses and the bus stop is a joke. EMRA is a joke for letting experienced ACU holders continue wearing novice bibs. Try Donington National instead.

I'm concerned with volume levels. Is the Serket much louder than the OEM exhaust? I was going to get the Competition Werks but heard that it's too loud based on other people's experiences. Same thing with SC Project exhausts - too loud.
@sweet-triple-UK
@sweet-triple-UK 3 ай бұрын
The Serket is noticeably louder than the stock exhaust, but I wouldn’t say it is too loud. The SC is apparently much louder than the Serket. I’m not too sure about Competition Werks but I’ve heard they are loud! The only time it’s been a bit droney is on very long rides that I do about once a year when I go on the annual tour but I wear ear plugs anyway and would recommend anyone riding a motorbike do the same (Auritech are my favourite and cheapish). General riding it just improves the exhaust note and turned it up a few notches in volume. Haven’t tried it with the baffle out yet mind.

Glad your problem is solved! For future viewers having a similar issue I would like to comment my experience with hot start issues on my 2014 Street triple R, as ive had 2 different issues: - When your bike cranks fine when hot, but is not happy to start without applying throttle, it could be the reed valves of the SAI system. I deleted mine and the issue went away. - If your bike cranks rather slow or doesn’t crank at all (only a clicking relay), and you’re sure the battery and charging system are not faulty, the problem is most likely the starter motor. These Denso starters all seem to start to fail at around 30-35k miles. The issue is more well know on the Tiger 800 (same engine), as they make more miles usually. The starter will ask for more and more current as it wears and at a certain point it’s too much for the battery when starting hot. To add to this last point, changing the battery can mask the underlaying issue of a slowly failing starter because it can deliver more current. I changed the battery and the issue came back after 4 months. Hopefully it won’t be the same for you but at least you know where to look ;)
@sweet-triple-UK
@sweet-triple-UK 4 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching and for some really useful nuggets of information there. I will defo keep an eye on the starter motor if the issue persists. I also wonder if our generation also suffer with the reg/rec issues of old. I’ve heard some say that triumph fixed this issue in the newer model 675s (2014-16) but also some saying that they are all the same!
@SanderG97

@@sweet-triple-UK yeah the R/R was such a weakness on the earlier models. It was mounted towards the rear of the engine and the heat would eventually fry it. The unregulated current would cook the wiring and connectors and eventually killed the stator, a pretty costly affair. They changed the R/R and it’s bracket I believe in 2013 so that it’s facing towards the rear wheel, in a cooler spot. They very rarely go bad on the new design as far as I’m aware!

They are quite unique, they have the torquey mid range of the twin and a little bit of the top end rush of the 4 cylinder too, so best of both worlds IMO or maybe a “compromise” of both? I'm hoping we just looked like a bunch of dudes enjoying our bikes, and I think lots of friendly bikers frequent that area of London because of The Bike Shed so will be a familiar sight around there. I remember you saying in a previous video you are from Australia! Are there any decent biker cafes near to you? You are more than welcome, I'm always keen to share my experiences, thanks for stopping by, let me know what you want to see on the channel next!

@@sweet-triple-UK glad you changed your visor and got home safe. Not around my area unfortunately, so I enjoyed seeing your cafe. 🙂

Thanks Snappy! I’ve been thinking for a while that when I get to retirement age - a long way off, I’d like to open my own Biker Cafe, with a load of custom bikes on display. Gives me an excuse to buy a collection of bikes over the next 20-30 years!

Bike cleaning video ? You must be best mates with Bikerevs lol. He really is the king of misinformed ,pointless content. TBH Yours does seem better from what I’ve seen.

@@sweet-triple-UKthought your track day one was really good, done a few over my 44years of motorcycling. Keep your content interesting and relative and hopefully your channel will grow. 👍

Does preview mean this video is a preview of the full video to come, or is this it.

It just means a short look at the bikes so yeah sorry this is it. I guess the title may be a little misleading not intentional though mate. I will be reviewing some of these bikes this year especially the new BMW GS and KTM within the next 3 months! Thanks for watching. P.s I’d recommend having a look at That Biker Simons video of the show if you want a bit more detail, his video is a little more comprehensive 👍

There is also reviews of the new street and speed triple on my channel along with the new Honda hornet if any of those are on your wish list! Out of interest, what bikes are you interested in, I could try and make a review especially for you bro?👊

I was thinking about having my DJI camera upside down as I'm not getting the angle right, I cant tilt it up far enough. is this why you have done it?
@sweet-triple-UK
@sweet-triple-UK 5 ай бұрын
Yep 100% that is why. You can also use a little arm bracket to get the angle right they look like 4 or 5 separate links and a GoPro mount, cheap as chips on eBay and probably the better option, but couldn’t find mine the other day when I filmed this.

I think the trip to bike shed was probably more interesting and definitely better value. The show looked very poor for the money. It was crap when I went years ago. London should be able to do much better!

Haha thanks for watching man, I totally agree, just couldn’t help myself and had to get eyes on some of the exciting bikes that have come out recently. I went to the MCN Motorcycle Live at the NEC Birmingham in 2022, much better show IMO!

I agree not many people attended 😢 I can see why, what a waste of money. Many of the major manufacturers did not turn up.

I thought it was quite sad to see how small it is now, unbearable on Saturday, far to many people. Plus side was getting to meet Alan Milliard

Yeah I agree, it just shows how much the bike industry is in decline. It’s probably going to get worse moving closer to the ICE ban if it happens! The Allan Millyard stand was cool wasn’t it! I was there on the Saturday too, and it was like sardines, trying to get footage here and there. I felt sorry for some of the bikes too, some people clambering on them with so much disrespect! Especially the R1M. No matter whether it’s a show bike or not it try and get on carefully without dragging my shoes across paintwork and the seat.
