Hello I encountered unusual problem I have 2 starter motor armatures bouth are magnet type one has commitator 23stot and lamination slot 23 ,the other has 28slot commitator and 28 lamination slot ,1 is for gasoline the other is for an diesel . So what confuses my it's hard to see inside but I noticed it has 3-4 windings per lamination slot so is that normal ? What is that winding type exactli and what that winding has for effect on the armature? Bouth of those starter motors have integrated dobbel coils in their starter solenoid 1 coils is grounded the other leads to the starter motor + input terminal S/R starter solenoid .So I try to understand how it operates .
