Reminds me of those DC fans used inside vehicles. Still using such a retro looking design to this day

Those were some of the best fans made.

Awesome! I just restored an early 80s Lasko box fan myself, it was very fun to see it look new again. By the looks of it, that's from the 1960s, same era as my humble home!

Nice to see something fixed instead of being tossed. We live in a throw away society

I have a fan just like the one in the video, someone tossed it out & all that was wrong with it was a broken knob.

Oooo very big childhood fan for me as well! We inherited an identical one when we moved into our house, but it was thrown away because it made an awful sound when running.

Nice! Question: Why did you zip tie the safety cage on?
@vintagefanskentucky63767 жыл бұрын
The original metal tabs were missing at some corners, and without some form of tie down, the grille will rattle very loudly when it runs.

I have the blue 2150 from the 70s. Are you anywhere near Franklin KY?

My stepfather had a fan just like this one at his cabin, which was an old mobile home, but there was no switch on to turn it on and off. You had to plug it in to turn it on and unplug it so turn it off. IT also made the same rattling noise just like this one. Worked like a charm, and it did help blow the heat down the hall of of the trailer so all the bedrooms are nice and warm, and in the Summer time it did the same thing to help the A/C, and yes it did blow a lot of air.

this fan its like the same size of many dash mounted or defroster fans founded in busses and trucks but their motors are dc either permanent magnet or series wound as most are two speed made by Fasco, DCM Manufacturing, Baader Brown, Bergstrom and Maradyne. as they all have 4 blades like your fan. I have some Sears fans but they are the vintage 1950s Vornado type fans by Kenmore on it one Kenmore fan is exactly like the Vornado Jr b18 c-1 the other one has a different base and a triangular front grille but has the vornado motor, blade and funnel on the back it said Kenmore Our own Trademark on both fans i have. as Sears today its struggling it sold its Craftsman brand closing more stores as Kenmore is the next brand they need to sell. very cool fan sounds like the defroster fans in the school busses
