Thanks a lot for another interesting Blixa interview, Elvar! I'm really looking forward to the mentioned Bowie EP, especially to "Where are we now" because I can very much imagine this song is great in Blixas voice and of course the Berlin references are in the lyrics apart from the overall mood/theme of the song text. Somehow I think this choice really fits a lot. Hope the green light by the Bowie estate will come in no time! It was also interesting for me to hear how Blixa himself thinks about his voice change(s) and that he thinks his voice is still continuing to change. Apart from the sound of his voice he developed another style of pronouncing the words over time I would say, I'm not sure if non German speakers hear it, it's hard to describe. Nowadays the pronunciation is much more poetry-like/clear and maybe "elegant" in a way (really hard to describe it) whereas in the very early songs the pronunciation is more casual/sometimes slangy in parts. For example I think where he sang "Sehnsucht, ist die einz-je Energie" he'd rather pronounce every syllable of the German word for "only" nowadays: "ein-zi-ge" very clearly instead of the more slangy sounding "einz-je", at least that's what I imagine. Maybe - or should I say probably? - a result of his speech work, I don't know. The evolution of his voice and pronunciation style is really super interesting. Not sure if it's a good idea to go to the Eurovision Song Contest though, the ESC and his music are two different worlds for me for some reason :D. Not sure what others think about it ;)

Hey thanks for your comment ! I really like your interpretation of the changes in pronunciation. I am also very much excited to hear the Bowie recordings - and I hope we won't to wait too long for the next Neubauten album !

What is a European? German, Belgian, Ukrainian, Frenchman, Eritrean or someone else? What is the speech of a European? German, French, Ukrainian, English or Arabic? Just because, after the concert in some German cities they don't exactly applaud EN as expected(simply put), he should relegate his country to third place....Hmmm, and at the same time, EN always seemed so strongly "German" in all aspects to me. Including the "sharp" German that suits their music so well.
