I’m incredibly sorry to hear this! I’ve lost so many to cancer including my wonderful husband. Please know, people are praying for you and thinking of you. Take a breath. When you’re ready, pick up your sword and get back in that battle!

Please just carry an actual tourniquet, preferable a CAT or SOF tourniquet. Impromptu tourniquets are notorious for failing, look up the DIY tourniquet failure rate for the Boston B*mb!ng.
@TGLAOutdoorLiving
@TGLAOutdoorLiving 2 ай бұрын
Right… but why does it hurt to know how to improvise a tourniquet exactly? Doesn’t make sense. CATs windless catches are notorious for snapping and SOFs aren’t much better considering their catch can get released under a lot of movement. Never prevent someone from being able to learn potentially life saving skills.

@@TGLAOutdoorLiving I'm not preventing anyone from learning life saving information, I'm taking the information you provided providing better information with proof, and encouraging people to carry a better tool. I never said don't use your tool, I said it's better to use the correct tool. Sure a keffiyah can be a back up, but telling people to use it as a tourniquet without qualifying its weaknesses is irresponsible IMO.

Is the sham a Muslim type of clothing or religious garment?

It did originate in the Middle East. We (the US military) adopted it due to its versatility.
@Quasi_Fungi
@Quasi_Fungi 3 ай бұрын
@@willworld8997 people in the Middle East have produced a lot of fabric clothing that have multiple uses and can be used to protect or help you, the sham is a very popular one that people in the west have adopted because it has a lot of good uses for being outside while still being stylish. One of my favorites is the Afghani/Pakistani Patu Shawl (can also be spelled Patoo Shawl) which is basically a big thin wool blanket that can be used to both protect from sun exposure while also being able to keep you warm when it's cold and many many other uses. I own multiple handmade Afghani/Pakistani Shemaghs and Patu Shawls and am not religious, and I have personally never had anyone who is Muslim care that I am wearing them, if anything I've gotten multiple compliments and Muslims asking me where I got these items so they could get a nice one themselves. In total, No they aren't religious clothing it just so happens that the Countries that make and wear that kinda stuff are majority Muslim.
