Very nice, but the tempo of the rondeau is too slow. The 2nd movement, after all, is "Rondeau: Gayement", which is French, meaning the rondeau is to be played lively.

This is the first piece of Baroque music I ever heard (1970s) and was hooked on the Baroque from then on. This performance is just what I imagine it would have sounded like in the 1700’s; a little thin, scratchy and reedy; slightly amateurish but so right for original instruments.

Wow ! This is new to me sounds like Mozart Beethoven Haydn and Schubert why haven’t we heard more from this brilliant composer before, pushed aside by the giant hitters of Vienna? More please!❤

Telemann is a bona fide master of instrumental music and good friend of Handel as well. They apparently shared an interest in various botanical species. Lovely concerto, perhaps in the top 5 of works for viola. exquisite performance. She makes it look easy but of course we know how much more difficult it is to conquer this mellowest of strings than any other. Brava!
