Aw, I had a tin foil hat theory that Heather Anne Campbell was vegan for the animals after watching her discuss the ending of "That's Amorte", seeing her say "I'm a Vegan" in whose line is it anyway, and posting vegan food on her Flickr account, but this podcast disproves that. I was hoping the cali burger she ordered was made with plants but alas it is made with murdered cows. Rest in peace, Buttercup. I am sorry that these grown adults paid for your corpse.

Tarsier had co-ancestor of bat(s) family. Eating/hunting same insect in the night. They will finally got webbed finger evolved long enough to take a glide. After millions of years these webbed fingers (also good for catching insect out of the air, saving energy instead of normal jumping) getting stronger to perform as wings. Tarsier also had high pitch ultrasonic voice calling, just same as bat. Except those large eyes will finally get smaller and nearly blind of sight, using ears hearing ULTRA-SOUND squeeking echoes to navigate instead. They said it was forty million years of evolution.

People should stay away from wild animals from the jungles. This is probably where viruses like corona come from.

Zoonotic diseases aren’t going to come from someone just being exposed to the Animal by observation alone , but you still make a good point , as we tend to find out as we go along , the inner workings of such diseases and how they affect us / animals , how they’re transferred , etc. and sure there could always be an instance where even without being bitten and having the disease “ jump” species from animal to human by way of the animals saliva , which is necessary among most zoonotic diseases especially involving monkeys ... but there always could be an issue with urine and fecal matter coming into contact with humans ( by way of broken skin or ingestion / saliva , etc ) but I highly doubt coronavirus being spread in humans was actually caused by anyone simply handling or interacting with animals , let alone even being bitten / transference of saliva or blood .., a lot of people suggest that coronavirus may have been a man made mutation / lab engineered type of disease / biological warfare , if you will ... or even perhaps a mistake could’ve occurred when labs may have been handling anything containing it, who knows .,, but in terms of What we do know and *I’m not suggesting that it was initiated via humans in the lab ... I’m only discussing the possibilities and thoughts that others echo when dealing with how it could have possibly been transmitted ... either way, zoonotic diseases are definitely possible , especially among monkeys ... I do know they stated things suggestive of bats or monkeys perhaps being the animal carriers that allowed for the disease to transmit to humans by way of people eating bush meat , not cooking and handling appropriately etc. and thing is , even if it’s not “COVID “, any other potential for spread of disease could occur from wild animals to humans and you’re right , we do need to be cautious ... but i do not believe ( and this is even my medical opinion ,) that tarsiers would be responsible for coronavirus being transmitted in humans , although they’d likely be capable of transmitting other diseases via bites , scratches, saliva infected with such diseases , etc. but honestly , new world monkeys aren’t as susceptible for transmitting diseases to humans .. OLD WORLD MONKEYS- that’s a huge danger. They carry herpes simplex - B , as well as SIV( which is their version of HIV, of course which causes to aids ) and hepatitis , as well as other monkey diseases that are quite dangerous ... no one should EVER have “pet”monkeys .. that’s the issue imo , with people involved in the pet trade , as well as the fact that monkeys do not make good pets bc they’re not domesticated animals despite what so many owners & traders wanna try and allow people to think, when they rip away monkey babies from mamas , often killing the mother , so that someone can THINK falsely , of course , that they can somehow tame and remove the wild out of the monkey .. it cannot be done. People abuse the hell out of them and get them to mostly act in line out of fear so long as that monkey never challenged dominance and attacks , which can cause major damage even when people have their teeth and finger nails ripped out .. they’re still monkeys ... it’s sick imo that people feel the need to grab up monkeys and subject them to Being that Of some sub human child or whatever ... they’re NOT at all ... Monkeys have always creeped me out and they tend to annoy me in their behavior , to be honest .. i just can’t understand why so many try and obtain them .. it’s so sick . They’re all difficult to deal with and extremely high maintenance and have horrible behavioral issues even in their own troops so it’s beyond me , the fascination of them and they’re kinda nasty to have to clean up after ... so people really do take out a chunk of effort or at least realize real quickly , they’ve gotten themselves into something they don’t wanna deal with , which ends in them giving the damn monkey away to yet another person who can’t deal with it or it gets locked in a cage the rest of its miserable life or killed or tossed outside somewhere to suffer and eventually die .. idk why anyone would wanna subject an animal to that misery . But people are often selfish and don’t consider the reality of what they’re really getting involved in or how it affects others , even a monkey .. but yeah, I get people need to eat in those environments and monkeys are rather plentiful.. I wouldn’t prefer to ever consume one , I’d Think they’d be nasty .. but I get that people need to eat. Heck. They even kill their own babies , let alone own kind and consume the meat brains first , so if monkeys are going to kill and eat their own , or any other animal for that matter is ever hungry and needs a meal, they’re obv. Going to consume another animal (among the omnivores and carnivores of course ) so i get it. But when Chinese medicine is filled with such quackery in terms of any actual medicinal benefit- it may have placebo effect but omg .. they really need to stop with the consumption of wild animals that could carry zoonotic diseases.. I totally agree with ya on that level. I just wouldn’t go as far to think simply just handling or observing these particular animals would prove as risky as it would living among cities where old world monkeys roam around freely overpopulating areas and having urine and fecal matter EVERYWHERE THEY Even touch , where they’re aggressive and attack humans. They’re nasty and disgusting and people need to at the least , discourage them - stop feeding them. If They can’t survive on their own in the wild they’re not meant to then. And people ridiculously treating monkeys as some deity - that’s just absurd and disgusting. Ppl really need to put a stop to overpopulated areas infested with monkeys .. I don’t care what any of them try and say. They’re nasty and disease ridden .
