Imagine if u climbed up the top , and ur friend started cutting the bottom
@stevenhaitana44407 ай бұрын
At 18.05 you made a really critical mistake. You should never cut near your ropes likes that and also no safty mitt on your chainsaw just to make sure you have an insured grip

Love the video. What's lacking in saw skills is more than made up for in climbing and rigging ability! Great work!

Lovely clear video nice work .only pet hate is frayed rope 😃 please get a hot blade and trim up that rigging block line that frayed endwould drive me nuts lol.....also I get the groundsman to warm the saw up a bit so when you receive it ,1 pull and it starts .easier for him on the ground than you up the tree ..nice video amigo stay safe .🙂

In the state of california, tree felling is highly regulated. I tried to get my certs, end results: 8yrs of fire prevention wasn't sufficient. Lame.

I'm sorry bro. Idk if that's just you climbing for another company. You way to long setting up. Bro you got 2 safety lime setups. Not even tied at the bottom with a quiky link on an alpine butterfly. But you look nervous my friend. You need to relax an learn to trust your equipment an proper srt training will hell you 100% better an more efficient in the tree. Cause no one else will hire you to climb for them climbing like that. That's a fact

Thanks for watching and commenting, I'm self-employed and have always been. There was a reason why I had to climb all the way up again, don't want to explain it though. You're welcome to check out my other videos, you seem to have some experience

How many years do you have experience for trees do you cut all arborist types just curiosity since I need myself years ago has been over 30 some years I said the name I am where I go by I liked for people to try to not call themselves exactly where I call myself it's going to get confusing but you keep up the good work let me know how many years you got underneath belt

Bro that is way too much equipment for me. I'm not knocking it, but I prefer just a buckstrap and spikes on a spar. Double wrap if it's sketchy. Blow it out and ride the wave. I am however very impressed with your setup. I've never seen anything like it.

A true face cut would have worked better. As deep as you made your initial cut, it would have tipped itself, no push or pry needed.

You have excellent taste in gear right down to the airstreams. Are those arbortec hi viz pants? I need to wear hi viz so I might as well lean into it. Rather than only black pants. I have a black pair of breatheflex pro UL pants and there really couldn’t be a better chainsaw pant, especially for summer. The Arborflex skins base layers are really thick so better for winter. But the storm skins are awesome. And you were in the top of the tree before I finished so obvious badass.

Please don't call yourself a tree surgeon
@treecareman91282 жыл бұрын
why not mate - nobody is actually comparing it with a human surgeon. Just kind of a cool name
@stuby20142 жыл бұрын
@@treecareman9128 A tree surgeon is someone that has studied arbor arborculture and has degrees or certification in the field who could also be a climber. An arborist is a person who climbs and trims or removes trees using proper gear, proper cuts and safety. And then there's you and your crew which dresses up in a few pieces of proper gear and call yourselves tree care men. If you analyze your video from knowledgable view of safety and proper industry standards you will find that you made a ton of mistakes and put yourself at risk to many times. I would encourage you to take some courses on tree work if want to continue doing this dangerous job. You can get seriously injured or killed in a matter of seconds at this job. Climb safe.
@treecareman91282 жыл бұрын
@@stuby2014 I hope you've had fun looking for mistakes in my video. The reason people don't put out full videos of themselves doing work, is because they, like everyone else in the real world, has to make things work once in a while. The things you see, are probably not mistakes, but well-thought practices that are weighed between the industry standards for safety and getting the tree down. My strategy is to do things with no stress, no deadline and with constant groundy communication. Anyway, if you're eager to point out the mistakes, your're welcome to.
