G'day Bart, i just got an IR-200. Any tips to help me shortcut the learning curve. I am particularly referring to the EQ of the cabs and overall sound as well as mic levels, or anything that might have caught you in the learning process.... i've worked out how to load the IR's, navigate the menus, etc. I'm just looking for any advice from seasoned players like yourself for some insights as you're getting some great sounds out it.... Any assistance greatly appreciated. Thanks mate...
@BartDietvorst6 күн бұрын
I think the IRs you put on it can't be changed in EQ/ mic position etc. It's a fairly basic device.

Sounds fantastic over my speakers! Would you say it has the characteristic Gibson-style "thump" in the low end? At least to my ear, Martins boom and Gibsons thump :)

Great video. I have the same pedal. One question. With the other controls halfway up, how far can the gain control be set to keep a very clean sound without any distortion?. Thanks for answering.
@BartDietvorst24 күн бұрын
Thanks. That depends on the guitar/pickup and on how many headroom your amp has. I'd say with single coils gain approx 3-4 and with a humbucker about 2.
@niltoneduardoalayochavez439524 күн бұрын
@@BartDietvorstThank you very much for your reply. My guitar is a Fender Stratocaster with three single-coil pickups. Something is not clear to me. It says that for singles it would be 3-4. If we wanted to compare this to the hour hand of a clock, what would be the location?. All the controls at minimum point to 7 o'clock. Is that understandable, right?. Thank you for your reply.
@clementplath327925 күн бұрын
Why is it that all you KZbin Hofner reviewers don't remove the foam from under the bridge? The foam is only manufacturer protection of the instrument's finish until set-up by the first owner. If in doubt, check to see whether McCartney's Hofner sports foam under the bridge!

@ nice ! Maybe y prefer bit of brightness on my guitars. But in other way, its supposed that les Paul custom sound is more fat than Bright right?
@BartDietvorstАй бұрын
@@gaboasis21 I tried several newe Gibson LP Customs but I think these actually sound more muddy with less highs than the Epiphone. A real ebony board and maple cap (like on the Gibsons) on the Epi would make it sound more snappy but that would make them more expensive I guess.
