killin brother! i use a super fat pick made out of cocnut shell...i also ise the Dugain ones from various natural materials like woods and bone etc to try to get more tone...are u sing a phat gauge pick as well??

That’s how i was first taught the major scales. But I think it’s best to know 7 forms as well. 3 on a string starting on every note of the scale, and you can also approach it as 7 forms without adhering to 3 on a string. Every way you can play the scale is really what you want to do I think.

When you’re improvising, you don’t have to remember anything you just listen to your ear and play what you hear. If you think soloing involves memorizing lines and playing them, then you are mistaken.
