An estate plan prepared by a competent professional, including a trust, medical directives, and general durable power of attorney, is an act of love for your heirs. I can rest easy knowing that if I were to die unexpectedly, my trustee would know what to do. My trustee is also co-owner on my bank/savings account. My home is held in the trust so it can be sold quickly. My investment accounts have named beneficiaries, and those names are current. Sadly, I had to remove a sister who died recently. The peace of mind about my estate is so comforting.

Form a Trust and have any property interned into a LLC, which the Trust can own. You use the Trust to avoid probate and the LLC to protect your assets.
