Wow, iv never seen someone run their trucks so rich before. Its not good for the engine or plugs. No wonder it was bogging down so much.
@leecosworth3 жыл бұрын
This particular truck has been a complete pain in the arse since buying it, even touching the needles it won't run, I'd had it set up by a shop before running it here so didn't want to touch it, it's not run since the videos and still has fuel in the tank, I may do something with it or just leave it, never had it running right from new

Just for the sake of information: It is very important to run in an engine properly and correct. Not doing that, you will have an troublesom engine. In this case your engine is too lean on the low needle and too rich in the high needle. Listen to this video. This is how it should be: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aF6clJd5nc2BmNk

Nice video I like your duel tank set up that's sweet where you hot the three way joiner for your fuel lines to connect to and where did u get the primer bulb from bro
@sumennaik95014 жыл бұрын
If the engine is getting hot and you only idling the and just started the car then your lsn might be to lean bro every time u accelerate it turns of ur to lean bro on the lsn
@VintageCR3 жыл бұрын
its probably the hsn bro. or the idle gap bro. if you notice, he is revving the engine and when he revs up a little bit, it dies.. besides that if the lsn was too lean, the engine revs would be higher and would die almost instantly starving from fuel, and the wheels would spin/car would do a run away. get your facts right.

Haggard RC yeah I’ve got the original engine, I think only difference is the heat sink, I see a few of these cars come up forsale, left for years etc with original tyres on, one will come up surely, engine was readily available about 8 years ago when I bought it, cost £50
@HaggardRC5 жыл бұрын
@@leecosworth Nice, the exhaust is also different on your one, I thought it was a Rush Evo, but it's not it's a Rush, the first one with a 15fe engine. Those heat sinks were on the 18 engines usually. My two Rushes are still undergowing restoration lol.

Strange engine sound. Sounds like it's getting too little fuel at low rpm, and too much on high rpm... Try set more fuel at low speed, reduce for high speed and reduce a little the throttle gap. It should help a lot. Awesome car but a little too delicate :) You should also (if you don't have one) add a filter to the nitro fuel - not the cheap one on a metal mesh, but on such material, as you can find in water filters for karchers. It helps a lot if you have contaminated (or older) fuel.
@leecosworth5 жыл бұрын
FargothPL thank you, I’ve had a nite mare with that car and doesn’t seem to matter what I do it runs like a pig
@FargothPL5 жыл бұрын
@@leecosworth Sorry I did not see the answer. Are you still having trouble adjusting this engine? Maybe I can give you some advice.
@FargothPL5 жыл бұрын
Whatever... :P Always first prime your engine - it will save you time, effort and your engine will last for longer (in the movie I did not see you do it). Does this car have a fuel filter? If not, install a good filter. Not those with a brass mesh, but a membrane of such a strange material as in water filters for the high-pressure washer. These filters are awesome! When the engine will start, let him work for a while to warm up, and then not quickly, but slowly lift up throttle - then the engine will clear of excess fuel and oil, and not go out. Change the glow plug to very hot and wrap the engine in aluminium foil - we got cold weather, probably engine cools faster than heats up and goes out :) Before adjusting the engine, try to remember your actual settings. I would adjust the engine like this: When the engine gets hot, I like to increase (or reduce) a little HSN to the point, when my car is not so unpredictable, has good lubrication and power. After that, I lean a little LSN. Then I drive a lap and wait for about 5-10seconds to look how the engine will react on pushing the throttle. I'm always lean LSN until the engine stops to choke when I push the throttle. If the engine raises RPM at low speed by itself, I usually reduce the throttle gap on the carburettor. I'm setting the gap to point when the engine has an equal turnover at low speed and does not go out when braking. Sometimes "1mm" is too much and you need to minimally reduce or increase it :) Sorry for bad english and Merry Christmas!
@SM_TheTraveller4 жыл бұрын
