The second double rifle had some odd caliber choices. Id have preferred a .375 flanged which js just a less powerful .375 h&h with a rim for break action rifles. Other choices would be a 9.3x74R again just a rimmed version of the 9.3x62 with a rim and longer case to keep pressures down. We could also use some smaller then .700 NE rifles like the .470NE ,.500NE,.577NE or even the .400/.450. Id also like to point out the lack kf magnums shown with just the .300 win mag shown. I do love the customizations,im hoping the scopes and binoculars are top notch, its just too bad we dont get name brands. A swarovski on top of Christensen arms carbon wrapped barrel with a suppressor in .338 win mag would be great.

Id prefer a .577 or .500 over the .700. Which is purely a gimmick. The rifle weighs 18 lbs and at 2000 fps it generates 8900 ft lbs of enery and the recoil is 160 ft lbs, a 30-.378 weatherby is 77 ft lbs in a 9 lb rifle so the recoil us immense,just watch the videos. Some guy actually got it up to 2600 fps for 15000 ft lbs of energy, i believe thats 1000-2000 more then a .50 bmg which uses a muzzle break on a 30 lb rifle, though only bolts can handle the pressures required so dont try it in your S&S lol. The only reason the cartridge exists is that Some guy who probably shot it once couldnt get Holland & Holland to build a .600 NE because they officially sold the last one so he had the .700 developed which js nuts since the .577 actually offers better penetration with its 750 gr bullet. When the gun game out it was $100 per round but was down to $50 and now $80 per rd.. Oh abd that H&H was $250k minimum. The funny thing is H&H worked it out with the familiy ao they could sell .600 NE again lol,i think it cost them a pair of S&S shotguns so $100k or so. Tldr. Or care. The .700 is a gimmick that weighs over 18 lbs and will induce a lifelong flinch lol.

They need to make it more obvious which cartridge type you're using. You can kind of tell where it shows the ammo the tips are different,but it's not obvious for all players.

The silver casing is nickel plating. The silver tip would've been a soft point,though nosler does have silver tips. Also Barnes tsx is short for Barnes triple shock or shocks. Just trying help you understand a bit better. Oh and it's actually 30 aught six, it's a .30 caliber (.308) created in 1906 and that's how it got it's name. In fact the 1903 30-06 would've used a 30-03 which was replaced by the 30-06 after a few years. I think they used 220 gr (military loves heavy bullets) in the 03 and moved to 150 gr since the 220 is a bit much for the 30-06,and made a few small changes to the casing.. Imo 165 is a sweet spot for 30-06 with the 150 being a bit light for caliber making for a low sectional density. The 180 gr would be used for elk but would be fine for deer as well. The sectional density matters for retained energy downrange and at impact. A denser bullet will also be less affected by wind though ballistic coefficient plays a bit larger role there. That's why the 6.5mm(.264)is all the rage now days it's 140 gr bullet is heavy for caliber so will fly flatter and farther. That's why they're used in 1000yd comps, though lack of recoil is another reason. Winchester with there .264 win mag and Remington with there .260 Remington ( necked down .308 just like the 7mm-08) were ahead of there time though the Winchester burned through barrels fast like all overbored cartridges ie. All these ultra mags which are unnecessary for most hunting.

In most of africa you cant use anythibg less then a .375 caliber though some yoy can use the 9.3mm. Id pay $5 for 1 double rifle in .470 NE,.465 H&H or a .500 NE. If they had elephant id add a .577 NE and its 750 gr payload.
