You can buy a Michael Jordan insert auto from his Upper Deck Exclusive sets for less than these Wemby cards. Granted larger print runs, but you still have low numbered inserts. Not sure I believe these single player set runs will hold up over time looking back at what's already out there to try and compare to, but have at it if its something you want to chase.

Oh man, thank you much for this episode and sharing, makes me feel so much better! Shortly after coming back to the hobby I was trying to get a Nico Hoerner auto for my son in PSA 9 condition. Being new at bidding on ebay as well, I wasn't real familiar with the auction set up. Towards the end of the auction I had my bid price put in and hit bid, but during that time the card had been bid up over the amount that I had put in there so ebay pops up this screen with some options for quick bidding an additional $1, $2, or $3. I panicked, not knowing what was going on, and kind of thinking I was just clicking ok to get out of the screen and hit the Quick bid +$1....and won the bid.... at about twice what I was planning to pay/the card was going for! (which was less overall than cards that were discussed on this episode) Also, I have found out that I overvalue patch (game used is a need for me) cards compared to most of the hobby because they didnt exist for me as a kid and therefore should be amazing...and I have overpaid for some of those along the way as well. Thanks guys!

The grading companies attribute the increase in prices based on value to the insurance they have to purchase when storing and shipping the cards-if they damage it or FedEx loses it

Its hard to see flaws over videos, but I think any card without deep surface dents, and sharp corners+edges cant get lower than an 8
