Interesting video there mate. However, suspect I would not be tempted to part with my hard-earned. Good luck.

I wouldn't yet but we are going to see this technology in more and more models in the future and if you live in the UK it's still on the cards that there won't be a choice in a few years

Great video, Mike and lovely sights. The bike, unfortunately, doesn't work for me...

I was surprised I've been riding 40 years and when whispers of hybrid bikes started circulating about 5 years ago I was a keen opponent saying it'll never work, however I'll gladly admit I might of been wrong
@snakeman99022 ай бұрын
@mikeonabike8531 My personal opinion?? You have to look at the pros and cons, I've also been riding 40 years and have seen the changes through the years .. (Pretty much like yourself.) Cons... Speed/acceleration Looks Sound. Part of what I love about a motorbike is the sound it makes.. I would say that a lot of people would agree on this subject..I'm not a fan of F1. My friend is and watches it. He has also been to see FE. I think it's called Electric F1 basically, hardly anyone there in contrast to standard crowds..same as the BSB and TT races.. Looks.. I just think at this stage, they're an ugly bike. Again, this is a major factor when choosing any vehicle, especially a.motorbike.. Speed..I'm not a speed demon, however, now and again, I do enjoy a blast. My main preference is exceleration to mid range. However, in saying that, I wouldn't by a.motorbike , that had a top speed of 100mph.. So, they're the cons, what are the pros , that would make me or anyone else part with our hard earned cash, for and choose the hybrid over, say a zzr 600/650?
@robinsonsrochdale7432 ай бұрын
@@snakeman9902 PRO 1 Speed/acceleration it's there (Well almost!!), when launched properly they say it will accelerate faster from a standstill then a ZX10R (Unfortunately I didn't get to test this and of course there is only an infinite amount of time about 5 seconds before the ZX10R catches up) but what we must remember is this is only the 1st model release and I'm sure come 2025 and onward we'll see this technology moved on to Kawasaki's bigger models - The speed to catch traffic on A-roads etc is already there, it did this easily and if you're in sports mode and still need that extra boost, lets say to overtake a larger vehicle, you press the boost button and it's all there. PRO 2 Fuel efficiency, pretty self explanatory you can use in sports mode using the petrol engine when on nice open roads, giving you bigger ranges for touring etc, however if you drive into a town/city switch to Eco mode where it will effectively work as any hybrid vehicle and switch between the petrol engine and electric motor, if you then drive in to a traffic quite area/ULEZ etc switch to full electric where it will only run off the motor. PRO 3 Do you have that grumpy neighbor who doesn't like you going to work in the morning, No problem drive to the nearest main road in electric or Eco and let them catch up on there beauty sleep. My cons are as follows but there are some that may not always remain so. CON 1 Looks you're spot on but again I'm almost certain it'll be brought to other models soon. CON 2 Price at the moment it's a big catch point but remember this is really the birth of this technology in bikes and I believe it will drop sooner rather than later as the ranges are expanded. Conclusion would I buy one now - No but I am in a fortunate enough position to have a fleet of bikes at my disposal and if they do cross the technology over to lets say a Z900 I'd be all over it.

I’ll believe it when I see it. When I was a lad in the ‘60s and early ‘70s every outlet was saying that by the new millennium none of us would have to work anymore everything would be automated. Well that never happened, things were more automated, but everyone is working at least as many hours as they were back then.
