Why do so many anatomical structures sound and read so Italian? Who was Leonardo DaVinci? Did you the know that double entry book keeping that every modern American Companies utilizes was invented by merchants in the country later to be called Italy probably in the Middle Ages?

What's the input for problems look like? How much burden is put on AI vs clinicians for adding symptoms, meds, visits in the context of hierarchical problems?

These descriptions could be far more accurate. For example, one should specify the anatomical region involved.

Hi Jeannette, thanks for watching. Hypertension codes were not deleted. the new code I1A.0 Resistant hypertension was added. It is to be used as a supplemental code with existing hypertension codes to describe when the hypertension is resistant to treatment.. For example, code I10 Essential (primary) hypertension is still a valid code. There are other codes within I10-I1A to describe hypertension.

Who among you has ever heard of or research the historical figure "POL POT"?
@lancemarshall241

Who was the worst world leader in world history? Adolf Hitler? No, a least he funded science and technology! In my opinion it was Pol Pot; his genocide of the teachers, engineers, doctors, and anyone with a shred of education set Cambodian society back decades or perhaps a century!

It doesn't matter if your race is white or brown or yellow or black; do you have the genes to be an academic and athletic star as well as a large penis? Eugenic or Genetics: Where did the Nazi's of Germany go wrong?

I would love to hear a reaction to this 1 year on. What elements did the panel implement to improve data in the health system, did we get anywhere with the "universal data base" idea, how has AI changed this conversation, etc. Also, very surprized that training and data entry itself didn't seem to be a more important aspect of this discussion. There was talk about how the lack of care contributes to the lack of quality in the data but not much about how to actually improve that. Great discussion though and very informative.

Thank you for this discussion. Our research / innovation team that is working on a proof of concept that shows a path for health care to break out of the domain of data/order entry and documentation and join the ranks of other design disciplines (like architects, engineers, graphic artists etc). That is the design tool paradigm. Constructions of planning can be composed very rapidly from higher level concepts (such as policies or ordersets), while always keeping the evolving "synthesis" in view (this is central to most design tools). This keeps cognitive load in check. It is more expressive than order/data entry while having rich relationships being expressed in a compact form compared to documentation without the ambiguities of natural language. It is quite easy to annotate the formal elements with natural language to express added concepts that resist "discretization". It is human and machine understandable and permits collaborative drafting in clinical environments. In the end, the designer's intent is rendered very quickly meaning richer cleaner data. Because the representation system is formal, process automations are very easy to construct. This paves the way for federated policy designers (like open source software) that help support continuous knowledge transfer and rapid modular constructions at the design level. The designer can make final adjustments to these constructions to match the specific needs of the patient. This also paves the way of neurosymbolic AI which has much clearer pathways for AI explainability and creating safety nets against "hallucinations". We believe the design tool paradigm is the missing link to Learning Health Systems. Would IMO be interested be in reviewing what we are working on? www.linkedin.com/in/arnold-kim-27753528/
