I’ve read that the cable should not be plugged into the jack all the way. Try inserting the cable half way.

Just with any camcorder, the best advice I got is just to hit the record button and create. Best part about the camera is all the manual controls it has. Make any changes as you see fit.

I got a big delay between video and audio, where audio is about 6sec later. And its getting longer. Any idea how to fix that?
@russellrabanal28 күн бұрын
One thing I can think is to make sure you don’t have any other applications running in the background. This can cause the delay.

This is a really nice video. The photos are great and the way video is made is interesting. I hope to see some more interesting videos from you. I have an xt1 as well and I am wondering which lens you were using here in Japan?
@russellrabanalАй бұрын
Thank you. I don't travel as often as I used to and my photography has taken a different direction these days. These were shot over 9 years ago. Fuji X-T1 paired with a kit lens 18-55mm.

@@russellrabanal Great. Thank you so much for your reply. Would you still recommend this lens for someone using XT-1 as a secondary camera or over the years, you have had better experiences with other lens which is also not expensive?

I just bought this camera .. i took 10 photos and just 2 of them were accpetable… some were with more exposure and some were too dark or blur Can you suggest to like how to take better photos with it
@russellrabanalАй бұрын
@@deepindersingh6436 yeah, that’s the issue with the series of instax cameras. It’s a guessing game due to the lack of auto focus. For portraits I would recommend using the macro lens and shooting closely to your subject. Extend your arm in front of your subject to measure and you should get better results. If you want to shoot landscapes from afar shoot in infinity. It can be costly when starting out but once you understand how to shoot your subjects, you’ll get better results. It’s not a perfect camera but it’s a fun one at most in my opinion. Fujifilm just needs to make a dated autofocus camera. The last one came out in 1999 and was only sold in Japan. Good luck!
@AcasaInNatura15 күн бұрын
You can't take "better" photos with these toys. Because they are not proper cameras, they are just toys to play with and pay also to play with hence shooting with these cameras is always a hit and miss... If you have too much money to throw away then instant film cameras are a good choice for eating money.

Nice setup, good work! Quick sound quality point, if you're interested: if you turn the speakers 90 degrees and lay them flat on the table on the long side, make sure you have the tweeters to the outside (higher frequencies are more directional). In either case, adding a stand to lift them off the desk and more on-axis to your ears would be a good thing as well. Another quick tip would be to add something like an Auralex pad or similar to help mechanically decouple the speakers from the desk surface. Good luck!
@russellrabanalАй бұрын
Appreciate it! And thank you for taking the time to share some suggestions! Shortly after making this video, I did buy a few more things including a speaker stand!

I watched this vid and wondered how you find the agencies and locations to shoot when you travel. Something I'm still working on.
@russellrabanal3 ай бұрын
There's no one way of working with agencies. The easiest one is checking into their contact info on their website and introducing yourself with your work and game plan. That's one way you can go about it. And as for locations, honestly it's just me scouting locations via Google Maps. It's always been a work in progress for me and at the end of the day, you gotta put the work in.

That would be a quick-fix on the Instax Wide 400 but speaking on this camera specifically - after 10 years you'd think we'd get something better than all the previous models. The Wide 400 is still a fun camera to use, but I am hoping that the Fuji Instax team makes improvements for their next camera. If not, I will import the 500 from Japan.
