@@superbeautiful Yes, it might have, unfortunately. I've noticed that when chicks are exposed to sun, and if ambient temperature is high enough, they tend to hold their beaks open and pant. Survival rate is decreased in these conditions. I never knew what else to attribute early chick death in these scenarios when there was no predator around. And it is very surprising that the pigeon chose the nest out there in the open like that, on the window ledge. It is not customary to wood pigeons not to be shelter by leaves that offers them protection from predators and the elements. Nice videos though!

She's so adorable and sensible, and also aware of the mirror picture in the camera lens not being another pigeon but her own reflection. Did you know: Pigeons are one of few animal species that pass the mirror test easily.🥰

It probably died from too much direct sunlight and dehydration. If possible, a small plasctic cup with water attached with s small screw, is what they could largely benefit from. The more they hustle, the more they are trying to cool down.
