The Dutch cannon: Anton Geesink story can be found in this documentary. How he started swimming, cycling, weightlifting (when it turned out that he needed to build more muscle strength. This is after his death where his wife. His brother told him that he should have been European champion in France, but he didn't speak French. @@seidobudostudies they unfortunately seem to be constructed like several pairs of Taiwanese Tonfa that I have that are very poorly made.and I want to see the mortice construction up close to see if they were worth investing in. Shureido always had different construction and took a beating but I guess they went out of business. Crane Mountain had superior construction but their guy died before I was able to get a round pair. Luckily I had them custom make a square pair of purpleheart wood Tonfa and a few pair of cocobolo nunchuku before they went out of business.

I KNOW it looks like a demo,and it looks fake. I practice Hapkido, which is similar to Aikido, but in my eyes went harder. Trust me when i say that people who are proficient in Aikido have a very specific skill and talent which easily translates to all other arts! The way that their posture translates DIRECTLY into their power is astounding. If you have 0 experience with aikido, i encourage you to see and FEEL it for yourself. You'll be impressed

Akido demos may be nice to watch, but what it reveals is fake and unrealistic defence so-called countermoves. After grabbing or attempting a strike, poof the attacker makes no further movements or strikes. Maybe nice to watch but seriously flawed.
