We need to know if using the compiler is even worth it. Are there any valid benchmarks out there?
@Nick-rh4bx3 ай бұрын
This compiler is a long time coming! It does feel like we could finally start writing a lot less boilerplate React code with better performance and mental overhead. Other frameworks like Svelte and Vue already compile away a lot of complexity already. Now just gotta wait another year for the release, bug fixes and tooling to catch up. Then finally I can upgrade NextJS with React 19 and this new compiler 😅🙏

The example at 04:30 may not be appropriate since videos prop for VideoTab is an Array i.e. Object itself and on each re-render of VideoTab's parent its referential identity will change. Causing the useMemo to retrigger again.

Hello! I really liked the presentation, but I had one question: Is it worth a Plugin System where you need to modify the code every time you want to use a new plugin? It makes sense? Is there a way to upload plugins and install them without modifying the code? Hug from Brazil.
@sanketsahu Жыл бұрын
Yes, that's also one of the differences between plugins and packages. Plugins do provide some way to modify them or leave them unedited if not needed.
