Sporty was the best!!! Deeply devoted man to the boys. I remember him when I was a kid there in 1992-95. Then working as Staff for many years from 2006-2012 Ranch will always be what I call home. They gave me everything I am and all the lives I touch as a therapist. Healer. Leader Blessings to RANCHO and all loves that have been touched. Rudy “Santos” Castro

Yes! He is still with us! He’s about 98 years old now, lives in Woodland Hills, California. He has slowed down but just a little, he does still go to the dancing but he stopped driving. He has a sharp wit last I spoke with him, about 2 months ago.

What a wonderful man. Joe was in the army with my grandfather. When my mother passed away I took possession of photo albums my grandfather had put together with many photos of Joe. My Uncle who is in his 70's always brings Joe Siracusa up when we look through the old photo albums and how Spike Jones Stayed at the house. If you talk to Joe ask him if he remembers Tom Cease.

Ruben, I was in rancho in 1965' I was in Dorm( San Jose) I remember as a kid how devoted you were. I have many fond memories like brother Francis, Brother John, Coach "V"and of course Brother Lawrence, who always treated me with respect no matter what people said. Do you remember the play we put on, A tooth for A tooth. I wish you well in your retirement, Aways, James A Castro

Joe is the finest, kindest most devoted man I have ever had the pleasure to call my friend. He is my sister in law's Godfather. He's actually family. I just got off of the phone with him wishing him a Happy Birthday. He's done it all and he just keeps on going. It is so nice that others have been inspired by Joe and I love that some have spent their time honoring him and his life. Thanks for making and posting this short film about him.

Joe has been an inspiration to so many of us for decades. Overcoming and rejoicing as you've so aptly shown. We were blessed to serve together on the Salvation Army board for years and I remember the Spike Jones Band he put together for the fund raising concert. They were masterful and Joe was the heart and soul of the group. So glad that you've captured his essence in the documentary. Thank you for that. Well done Carla!
