We had it down to the bells going down 1 minute to be out .thet give me 4 minutes to be on seen . Love my job now retired. I would love to ride a pump be for I die

Great seeing this. Was watching this episode as a teenager in the 90's. Now 15 yrs in the LFB. Remember thinking the watch and guv & SUB O sounds sound as a pound. And now I'm a new junior officer can testify this.
@Biffo12626 жыл бұрын
Ian Robinson Spot on. I worked with Mick on a BA Instructor course and my son joined them on that watch as a probationer shortly after that TV series. Sub O was the best rank in the job. You couldn't have paid me enough to take a Stn.O job. All gone to pot now though. The fireground looks like a field of daises there are so many white helmets now.

Unless the guy on the left hand pole of the 135 ladder has four hands then it was a straightforward 4 man pitch. Done is a three man and even a two man (heel into building, poles outstretched) on the yard but never on a job.

@PURPLECAMPERMAN7 жыл бұрын
The 'P' Reg Volvo pumps GMCFS bought in 1997 were the best they had ever had. They had low profile wheels/tyres and the water tank was located down in the chassis which gave better handling and road holding.
