I have been hearing reports that windows 11 isn't great with backwards compatibility. So it may be an issue with the operating system. I actually refuse to use windows 11 knowing that it wouldn't be good for what I do here on the channel. Of course I would try running it in compatibility mode first with administrator rights enabled. You can find both settings by right clicking on the .exe file (not the shortcut) where you originally installed the game and going into properties. Other sure-fire ways of getting it to work, but will probably cost some money would be to buy a copy of windows 98 installation disk and installing that into a virtual machine such as VirtualBox, VMWare, or if you have a Windows 11 Pro Operating System you can set it up using Windows native virtual machine called Hyper-V. Out of the virtual Machine options, I would recommend Hyper-V as it's probably the easiest. These do take some tech skills though, so if you're not very tech savvy or you're looking for an easier setup, you could look on market places like eBay for a windows 98 laptop or desktop. I've seen many running for under $100. In your case I would probably suggest the laptop as it would be the most cost effective. Just make sure the laptop has a working CD-drive and/or allows for USB devices like a USB CD-Drive. I completely understand the frustration that you're going through and I hope one of these suggestions were helpful. Of course depending on the time you have to dedicate to the issue as well as your stamina and know-how there are other options as well as tutorials that you could try to get this working. Google and KZbin usually are good places to start, but you may get lucky and find another option that I didn't even think of.

You can try Flashpoint, a software that is used in preserving flash games of all kinds. There are some of the Diva Starz games on there, but of course work still need to be done to recover the other ones (hopefully one day we will have them all preserved for everyone to enjoy). I believe thanks to Sugar Software as well as Justin (4-Ever Bratz) the games in this video eventually did make their way to Flashpoint. I've used the software many times and can confirm that it is safe. You can also check out a user on Tumblr by the name of Web-Back-Then. They have a thread for alternative options for playing flash games, Flashpoint being one of them, but they also have their own repository on archive.org that I believe has a few more games that actually haven't been brought over to Flashpoint yet. I'll update my description with the think to the tumblr thread so you as well as anyone else that's interested can find it. Hope that helps!

As I joke about in the videos, MGA and Mattel did this with both of their main line cast where they replaced the redhead in the groups for another non-redhead character. To this day I don't see too many natural redheaded characters represented in either of Mattel or MGA's franchises. The only one I can think of off the top of my head is their re-boot of Polly Pocket, but I'm not entirely sure if the character is a natural redhead.

If I remember correctly Mattel was thinking about releasing guy counterpart dolls to the girls, I think because MGA released the Bratz Boyz line in 2002 and it was received pretty well. Unfortunately they never came to be and the only idea we have for who probably would have been made into dolls were the four reoccurring boys mentioned through out the webisodes and the Diva Date Quiz. All of this is speculation, not hard facts though. The only thing we know for sure is that boy Diva Starz were never announced nor released.

It really is a cute game! I don't think I had this one as a kid, I had the other one, Fashion Boutique, but I still found myself getting lost in creating dresses like I did when I was a kid.

Sorry for the long delay, busy weekend with the holiday and everything. I'm gonna say right off the bat I'm not an expert and I haven't tried many of the methods that people recommend for restoring dolls. I'm going off of what I've heard/seen other people say to do. For more accurate instructions I'd say go through KZbin and look for "Doll Restorations" or "Barbie Restorations" as there's a lot of people that have way more knowledge on this subject than I do, but I'll give you the knowledge that I have. For the hair if you're looking to restyle it, first remove all accessories and clothes off the doll and with a cup of very hot water you want to dunk the doll's hair into the water for about 30 seconds. Be careful though not to leave the doll's head in the water too long as the heat can melt the glue that holds the hair in place. Then while it's hot and wet you can proceed to style the hair with curlers, hair pins, clips or elastics to help it hold it's shape. I've heard that it does take some practice to be able to do it right and sometimes depending on the type of the doll hair that's used, it may not style as easily. As for the face itself, if you're looking to remove scuffs or pen or paint marks on the face, first try soap and water to see if any of it is washable. If it's not coming off and if it's not in a place where there's already paint applied such as lip color, eye color, eye brows, or blush you can try acetone or nail polish remover with acetone in it, but this can be very abrasive and doesn't work with all types of plastic as it can melt the plastic, so do your research before hand. You may be better off getting acrylic paint and just trying to match the color and hide the mark. I've heard a lot of people mix their acrylic paint with a little bit of water to make it less thick and to be able to do thin layers of paint so that in the event they mess up or the color isn't quite right, they can easier wipe it off or go over it again with the correct color once it dries. That's about all I got. Sorry I couldn't be more help, but if you have any other questions, let me know!

Thanks so much! Haven't done too many reviews so I'm still learning the best format for how to present things. Considering all the REAL reviews I read (have to emphasize 'real' because I don't even count the reviews that just say "Amazing product!" and nothing else. Those are fake) At least 80% of them pointed out the problem with the doll and box being separate. Through google it scored a 3.9/5, but even on 5 star reviews, they mentioned pretty much every problem I mentioned. So I really do hope the next big Bratz Mini thing they plan, it not only has the doll and box together as one surprise, but also states on it how many new/exclusive surprises it comes with. If the entire thing was exclusive surprises, like I had expected at the beginning, I would have absolutely justified the $60 and probably would have thought it as a bargain. Thankfully this was my first set, so all of the products were new to my collection, but if I had been collecting them from the start and got a bunch of dupes, I would have been miffed. I feel like I need to do another Bratz video soon though, just to make up for this one lol

The Fashion Fever games sounds really familiar, but I can't remember which ones those are. I'll have to check my list to see if I have them available. I'm sure they've been found though. I really hope though that more of these flash games have crafts to make, especially for Barbies. Making the magazine was really fun and I love making doll stuff!

Yeah Mattel kind of did her dirty. Myself and some of my friends agree that she had so much potential, but unfortunately we weren't able to see any of that because of the downfall of the series. We did do a episode about the Diva Starz on my friend Vanessa's podcast called Bratzline, and in that episode I believe we did talk about what we would have liked to have seen in each of the characters if the series got rebooted and we talked a lot about Miranda and adding more character to her.

I honestly miss edutainment games from the 90's and early 2000's. I feel like they're a lot more engaging and more creative with how they teach certain topics to kids. I have yet to find a modern day edutainment game that even compares to what we had back in the day, but trust me I'm still looking, because I want to have hope that something like that exists out there somewhere. And absolutely I 100% agree, adults deserve to have fun while learning too!

You'll be hard pressed to find one that's still in the box, though I think I may have seen one on Ebay (not sure if it's still there). If you're just looking for the doll itself and you don't mind doing a bit of restoration work, you might have better luck finding her in a bundle with other dolls either on Ebay or Mercari.

Nice! You're really lucky to still have the actual toy. I tried looking for them just to see how much they were going for; nearly impossible to find an in-box set with everything in it and if you do it's super expensive! I think I'm just gonna have to settle with finding all the pieces separately and possibly restoring anything that's damaged. On the bright side it gives me more practice with restoring toys!

I tried going through the files to see if I could find it, but nope! Thankfully I went back through the cannon game and I actually did see this. So I can now confirm that it is in there, and it's a happy surprise to know that you can play this game multiple times and still not see everything that it has to offer.

Nice! Hopefully you faired a bit better than I did in the Bramble Maze game. 20 years later and that part still makes me uneasy...even when it's not working!

Trust me it was not easy! I tried many different things to no avail, this game unfortunately fell into my small group of old games that could not be played without original hardware. I was very fortunate to find an old Windows 98 SE that was built for gaming and after buying many converters I was finally able to get the display to run through a capture card. In your case if you're running it on an XP, there shouldn't be too many things blocking you. I've heard this game does run on XP and there were a couple things that I tried that got me some success with the game on a Windows 10. 1. Try running the game in compatibility mode if you're not already. Can be done by right clicking on the game's shortcut file or .exe file, clicking on properties, clicking on the compatibility tab, and then selecting an option from the drop down. I would suggest selecting either Windows 95 or 98, try both if need be. 2. If that doesn't work, in the compatibility tab check the option that allows you to run the game as an administrator. Make sure that compatibility is still set to Windows 95 or 98. 3. I believe XP can run virtual machines and they might have something built in already, you'd have to google it. If not, you can always download software and there's plenty of options to be able to choose from if something like Oracle's VirtualBox doesn't suit your fancy. If the game doesn't run in the virtual machine, do steps 1 and 2 again in the virtual machine as well. 4. If nothing else works I think this game is going to need original hardware. Up side is though depending on where you live and if it can be shipped, there are companies out there that collect old computer parts and use them to make old custom gaming computers. I think the highest price I've seen charged is like $200, but for games like this you obviously won't need a computer at that price. You can also check online markets like eBay, Amazon, and Mercari for pre-built ones. I found mine on eBay for like $98 and don't worry about buy the monitor if you don't have the old ones. I'm literally using a small TV from like 2008 as my monitor for the computer. If these steps don't work (or if buying a computer is not an option), let me know and I'll see if I can find other solution for you. I understand your struggle, I was there once! I want you to be able to play this game!

I'm really glad I was able to help bridge that gap for you! It was a vague memory for me for years after the website shut down back in the late 2000's. Oddly enough, what brought back the memories for me initially was I was trying to find information on another web-based game that was kind of like a cross between fashion dolls and Neopets and ended up finding information and fanart about this brand. Something that I just remembered too was how I got introduced to Zodiac Girlz. I think in my video I had said that I didn't have any of the dolls, but actually I think I might have had the Cancer doll. I remember her coming with this small cardboard cutout of sheet music and I think I remember having Ink the frog. Wish I still had her now as she's probably one of the hardest dolls to find.

I know! The best I've been able to find for a whole set are opened ones like on ebay that have truly been "loved" by their previous owners: ratty hair, some small marks on face and body, and they may or may not be wearing their own clothes or clothes at all. Granted I'm just trying to find a Cancer doll that's in good condition with all of it's clothes and accessories and I'm starting to believe none exist. Then again I will happily settle for one of the other dolls and have been looking at getting one of them, just trying to figure out when would it be a financially good time to get one.
