At least use the same pickup for a proper comparison.

original has more output and mids. reissue is clearer when in OD. could be somewhat down to pup height

Really hard to tell because he played his ‘61 with much more fire and passion than the AVII, which is natural, bc it’s his guitar.

As much as we love our vintage instruments, the chance of finding one in decent shape, or even in playable shape, are not in your favor. That's one of the reasons Fender perpetuates the American Vintage line. I have several of the later AV line, and they all sound incredible.

I never understand it. Why to hell trying a new guitar to make it old? A Murphy cant bring a story into a guitar. I take care to my guitar. I love my guitar. I never will spend a Cent, to make it looking old. It´s only sick. Sorry, but it´s my trueth.

New sub!! Love demo! I’ve owned a black 75 Tele Custom like Keef’s since 2016! LOVE IT! Watching your demo reminded me of why I paired down to that being one of my cornerstone guitars! Curious what pedals and amps were used?? Anyway love your enthusiasm for guitar as well and a good remedy for G.A.S is to watch demos of gear you own so you appreciate it more and not go straying🤣🤣🤣🤣✌🏽❤️

I’m old enough to remember when these came out and generally people dismissed them . Mick Green of The Pirates played one and he was a genius but beyond that nobody touched them -it was only later that Keef started to use them . The Deluxe is a monster guitar , played one recently and was shocked at how gutsy it was . Martin flying as always ! I’d take the Tele in a heartbeat, have to shift a Squier 50s Tele first -what a dog !!

All you do is just feelgood here. When you spend this much effort, at least remove all the pot and switch nuts and drop them into the body. Also drop the pickups into the body. THEN you can clean it responsibly.
@AbstractZombie-ed8fj26 күн бұрын
There's no such thing as "the best guitar ever made!" There's just guitars and some are better than others! Also, the burst sound is a myth! Every burst sounds completely different from one another so how can there be a "burst tone" most records recorded by live burst players weren't even bursts in the studio! But yet these know it all guitarist will swear up and down every single track is a burst, what a joke!

Really enjoyed your round up of the board. Sounds amazing. Please don’t think I’m mad but sometime please try a Maxon SD9 Sonic Distortion for thick fat tones. I feel you would be suprised at the results. It’s a much flatter eq through out & very responsive to the guitars volume. Gain on just past 2 o’clock, tone between 7&8 o’clock. Keep the Strats tone control really low too 👍

Hi David. Yer, the moon was put in by Jimmy Moon, an amazing builder in Glasgow. When I got the guitar back from my uncle, it had over 30 years of hard gigging, and the board was gone. So Jimmy replaced the board frets and couldn't save the clay dots, hence the moon. 😊
@daviddalziel88429 күн бұрын
@@mwaugh94879Thought so . Jimmy has retired to his Arran roots and the shop is in good hands with Stephen Devine who worked with Jimmy for years . All the best from Bellahouston!! 😀
